I hadn't heard of Beanie Boppers, either. I did have some of the barbie size real BSC dolls that came with the charges. I miss being a kid so I can play BSC with them ;D

I've never heard of those beanie dolls, but they are kinda cute. They look like messed up cabbage patch kids. I never had any BSC dolls as a kid, sad! I don't even think I knew they made them. I had a "japanese" (i think she was actually Hawaiian) barbie that I used to pretend was Claudia but I was never that into barbies so didn't play BSC with them really other than thinking that specific one looked like Claud.

^ I had some of the Hawaiian barbies, too. They were "Janine" and "Peaches" and "Mrs. Kishi" (though it was often hard to make the barbies look "old" enough.) ;D My little cousin just got one of the "grandma" ones for her birthday and I wish they would have had those so I could have had a Nannie and Mimi. ;D

That is so cool! I didn't have many different ones, mostly blonde brunette caucasian, and one brunette African American (I guess) doll. But I never thought to play BSC with them.

I don't really remember playing BSC with my barbies, and I'm really surprised I didnt, being so in love with the books . Maybe because I had no one to share ideas with. Like when I used to make my brother play barbies (hehe poor guy... but usually he played with the action men, and I'd have the barbies) we would play "Xena Warrior Princess" and also just make up so many senarios of our own.

I feel like making BSC barbies and taking pictures. But I don't have any barbies, and don't want to spend the thousands of dollars on them

I always wanted to get american girls of today dolls for each character of the bsc, but my parents, uh, refused.

Are the BSC dolls shown in the back of the books like American girl dolls or are they smaller?

I don't remember playing BSC with my Barbies, but I do remember acting out BSC stuff with my best friend and her older sister. We'd pretend we were having a meeting and then I'd call Logan (I had to be the one to call Logan because my name is Marianne, and I would pretend I was, of course, Mary Anne!) and offer him jobs that went on into all hours of the night. I'd go, "Logan, can you sit for the Rodowsky boys from 6 PM until two-thirty in the morning?" And we'd all laugh like crazy like that was sooo funny.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who played BSC with my Barbie dolls! (Come to think of it, I played Sweet Valley High, too. Those were my two favorite series at the time.) I actually had a redheaded Barbie (although she wasn't "sturdy" LOL) that I used for Mal, and I had one with white blond hair that I used for Dawn. I never had an Asian Barbie to use for Claudia, though.

I always wanted to get american girls of today dolls for each character of the bsc, but my parents, uh, refused. I never thought of that but probably would have wanted to, too. Right now, I'm trying to collect all of the historical ones. ;D Not sure what ones of those would work for what girl except I did notice yesterday when I was putting a new dress on my Elizabeth that she looks a lot like Stacey. ;D Maybe Molly would be MA with the braids. ;D Ivy would be Claudia, Addy would be Jessi, Julie would be Dawn. Maybe Samantha as Kristy (only other one with brown hair ;D) Not sure on Mallory or Abby. The girls of today would definitely be easier to make into the BSC. ;D I have really wanted to get out my barbies and "play" BSC lately. ;D
