I can imagine it because Rachel Leigh Cook turned blonde so I imagined Mary Anne looking the way she looks.

that's not blonde, that's light brown. i was thinking of when she looked like this: www.celebsinc.com/pictures/RachaelLeighCook/nude/rachael_leigh_cook_006.jpgand i still think RLC looks better with dark brown hair than the caramel shade in the picture you posted. with the dark hair her features "pop" more. very few non-natural blond people actually look better with blond hair. it's hard to pull off.

MA's face can change a little when she reaches adulthood and maybe then she can support caramel or a not so light shade of blond. If not, theres nothing wrong with highlights, right?

i don't know, i think ma seems like she has a really pretty face but is someone for whom golden tones would only detract from her prettiness. since she can't tan at all, it seems like she is someone who doesn't have many warm tones to her skin, so the only kind of blond she could look ok with would be platnium or ash blond, which doesn't seem very MA at all. ;D

She can fake tan but she doesnt seem like the person who would want to do that!

No, not really. With the way their skin and personality are described, I don't really see any of them changing their hair color drastically. Maybe Claudia could put some purple streaks (or whatever is hot right now in, but I really don't see any of them actually changing beyond highlights.
