I always love the “pizza toasts” and tried to do one (unsuccessfully) the last time I had pizza. Anyway, was just reading a Saddle Club book and they did a “pizza toast” with cookies and acted like they had invented it. First thing I thought was I wondered if the author “borrowed” this from the BSC. Maybe not, but it seems like it. Does the BSC ever do toasts with any other kinds of food?

I never would have thought to toast with anything at that age. I would have been all "mmm, pizza. Must eat now."

^^I agree. I'd be the kid that everyone was staring at because I'd bitten into my pizza before the toast!

What if your slice touches other people's hands in the toasting? That would be nasty.

^ I never thought of it, but that is gross. I wouldn't have done the toasts of any kind with hot food because I hate waiting so my food gets cold ;D But now it is a fun idea - to read about, anyway. I've never done a successful one.

I've never done the pizza toast but I have done the less popular but still BSC specific Soda Can Toast. ;D

This thread made me want pizza. Mmmmm.
What happens if your cheese gets stuck to someone else's slice? The results could be tragic.

I've done the soda can toast too, magentanation. Ugh, I so want pizza right now. I just love any mention of pizza in the books. And those girls ate it a lot.

This thread - and the pizza toasts - always make me crave pizza too ;D Unfortunately, the closest I've come lately is a Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pocket yesterday for lunch. The girls seem to have pizza quite frequently, though. Guess I need to call Pizza Express ;D

Pizza is possibly mankind's best invention. I think I could eat it every day and not get tired of it. Alas, I don't have Claudia's metabolism. So much for the ener-joy theory.

I really want a hot cheese pizza right now. It doesn't help that I am watching home alone right now and I always want cheese pizza whenever I watch home alone.

^ Oh... that movie always makes me want Pizza, too. I took my little cousins to a "festival" downtown yesterday and we passed all of the fair food concession stands and they had about 3 pizza shops that smelled soooo good. My little cousin has never had "fair pizza" - I couldn't believe it ;D I used to live on that stuff when I was showing my pony at our fair every year. (But never did a toast with it. ;D) But they got an elephant ear instead - yuck ;D That would have been heaven for Claud, though, with all that sugar....
