There are some moments and words in the BSC books that really made me cry. Here are some of them: In Mary Anne's Book,(Chapter 5 "The Tea Party")when Mary Anne whispered into her dad's ear "I love you Daddy" and then Richard(Mary Anne's dad) whispered back "I love you, too, more than life itself"(I kept repeating those words in my head after I've read it). And in Mystery # 5, "Mary Anne and The Secret In The Attic",when Kristy's mother was telling Kristy the moment she saw Richard pushing Mary Anne in her stroller. " Look at my little girl," Richard said to Mrs. Thomas. "Isn't she beautiful?" Then he smiled for the first time in almost two years. And In BSC #90 "Welcome To The BSC,Abby" when Abby's mom was holding Jonathan's(Abby's dad,who died in a car accident) bathrobe, she murmured "His bathrobe,Oh,Jon. I never washed it,you know. It was hanging on the back of the door when I came home from the hospital after he...died. I put it on. I slept in it every night for weeks. (Here's the part that made me cry)But then I realized that no matter how much I slept,I'd always wake up and it wouldn't be a bad dream. It would be real." These moments really made me cry. Share here the moments and words in the BSC books that made you cry too.

Yeah. The death of Louie made me cry too. I can't imagine my dog dying like that. It's...awful...

Oh man, definitely Louie. I knew it'd be a sad book good effing god i forgot just how much dog stuff affects me. I get so Mary Anne about just about anything dog related and if it's a dog dying, well... I was reading that book in the living room last week in the afternoon and when I got to the parts near the end when they know they have to put him to sleep i raced up to my room to cry.
I got a little misty eyed during that scene you mentioned in Welcome to the BSC, Abby! as well as Abby's Lucky 13 cause that brought back memories of my own bat mitzvah. Not that they were bad memories but there are certain things where it'll always be bittersweet to recall.

I cried when Louie died, especially since I read it for the first time about a year ago, since I went through a similar thing with my dog dying when I was alone right after I turned 18, and my parents were in Europe. It was lung cancer that took my puppy. I also cried reading Mary Anne's mothers letter to her and in all the moments that were already described. Whenever something bad or really good happened, I cried. I am a bit like Mary Anne in that way...

I'm probably the only one who wasn't affected much by Louie's death (then again, I never even cried when Old Yeller died as a kid ;D) but have had lots of other moments that have made me tear up a bit. I would have to think more to find the particular instances. Only one that comes immediately to mind is Karen's Grandad because Grandad reminds me so much of my own Grandpa.

All of these made me cry as well. I also teared up when Peaches had her miscarriage.

I cried when Mimi died. I actually cried more rereading it after I lost my own grandmother several years ago. I tear up every time I read it. All the other moments mentioned too. I cried during Abby's Portrait when her dad died too. I am a Mary Anne as well when it comes to crying over stuff.

Peaches was another one that gets me since I went through almost the same thing (not the blaming myself part but having a close aunt lose a baby) when I was a kid. I was so happy when Peaches had Lynn that I almost teared up again. ;D

Louie and Mimi defiantly made me cry, although I think the moment that made me cry the most was Sunny's mom dying in Diary 3. It was just so sad ( obviously). Actually that whole book made me cry a lot and I have hard time reading it.

Oh, gosh, I'm such a "Mary Anne". I cry so easily. I cried about the deaths of Mimi and Louie, and when Abby found out her grandmother might have cancer in "Abby in Wonderland". I think I also cried when I read the letter that Mary Anne's mom had written to her in "Mary Anne & the Secret in the Attic." (I think that was the book.) I'm such a softy. :-)

Louie's death still tears me up. I also get emotional over the Nicholls boys in "Claudia and the Terrible Truth", because I kind of want to pick them up and take them away from their father and let them be happy.

I get emotional about the Nicholls boys, too. Also got very emotional when reading Abby in Wonderland because I read it right when my own grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer. It did help me deal with that, too. When Abby's dad dies is probably one of the only things that ever made me actually cry, though, and I think it was the mood I was in while reading it.
