This is actually in a LS book but when they visit the Vietnam Wall in Karen's President, I get really emotional. I still remember going there with my dad on our trip....

I cried when Jeff left in 'Little Miss Stoneybrook... and Dawn,' especially when she says she felt like she and her mother were the ends of a loaf of bread, and she wanted just one more slice with them. I was a very little kid then, and I haven't read it in a while, so I'm not sure if I would tear up again there (but reading what I just wrote, I'm more inclined to laugh.).
I teared up recently with 'Mary Anne in the Middle' when Mal reveals how desperate she is to leave SMS, and be 'not one of eight kids, or one of seven baby-sitters' but to be her own person. It was a really beautiful passage, and I felt so sorry for her.

In Kristy and Mr. Mom, when Watson comes home from the hospital and everyone is standing there, waiting for him. Watson smiles at them and says "I've never seen anything so beautiful in my life."

^ That one was touching for me, too, especially because it reminded me of the kind of things my dad said after his heart surgery. ;D My dad needed a book to read last night so I gave him MA's Portrait and he admitted that he teared up in the last chapter with the stuff with her grandma when they were talking about her mom. He found the whole book touching.

^Yeah,MA's PC is really touching. In Kristy and Mr. Mom, when Watson comes home from the hospital and everyone is standing there, waiting for him. Watson smiles at them and says "I've never seen anything so beautiful in my life." I loved that part too. It was so touching.

^ My dad wouldn't want to read one either. He already has to deal with enough feminine drama (from me and my sister).

My parents would never have gotten anywhere near any of mine. My mother's opinion of the BSC was just a notch above Mrs. Kishi's opinion of Nancy Drew.

My mom would occasionally read one of my Karen books if I asked her to.

-Louie's death
-Mary Anne's Portrait, with the tea party
-Dawn's portrait, in some parts, and when Jeff wants to move back to California.
- When Stacey moved away, and Charlotte was so happy because she got to talk to her on the phone. It was so sad! Probably just to me though, because I was an only child, and I remember getting so attached to the "Big girls", and having them leave.
And not only Mimi's death, but the aftermath in the end... when Mrs. Addison finally lets Corrie Addison know how much she loves her, and Claudia realized it wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for Mimi.
