I've always said it Perez-i-o even though I know that is wrong. I often create my own pronunciations I've actually always liked Jenny - just read MA Saves the Day and that is one of my favorite books that she is in - even though she's a pretty big brat. I would love to see her get together with Leslie Reamses from Stacey's Mistake. Would also like to see more interaction between Jenny and some of the other kids like Claire Pike, Nina Marshall and Suzi Barrett. I can imagine how appalled the Perezziosos would be at Mrs. Barrett's disorder and messiness.

I always said it "Prez-oso" when I was younger. I thought it was sooo hard to pronounce.

I could NEVER prn her last name when I was a kid. I seriously didn't sound it out properly til I started re-collecting, I always just skipped over it. I felt really stupid this weekend when I asked my 7 year old niece if she had read MA saves the day (I lent it to her) and she's like "yeah, I like when Mary Anne babysits Jenny Prezzioso!" and pronounced it completely correctly. Then I decided to test her and asked if she knew who Jackie was and she's like "oh, yeah, Jackie Rodowsky" - another last name I always skipped over as a child, lol.

I am like that too, I am glad I never read them outloud to little kids and had to get corrected. What episodes of the BSC Jenny appear in?

I always felt badly for Jenny, being labelled a "brat." She was only four, for one thing. What did she do that was so awful? She is bossy and likes having her own way - they've all met Karen Brewer, haven't they? She was jealous of her baby sister - that seems entirely normal, and precious Jamie Newton wanted to name Lucy "Stupid-Head." She doesn't like getting dirty? Uh...so what? Yeah, she's had a few tantrums, but Claire Pike has meltdowns over having to bat cleanup at softball practice and she's not called "the bratty one."
Poor Jenny. At least Mary Anne liked her. Sort of.

I always knew how to pronounce Jenny's last name because I used to have a dance teacher with the same last name.
I thought Jenny was a brat, but she was only 4 years old though. Most 4 year olds have a little bit of a bratty side in them. I thought she was a cute kid though and wasn't as bad as she was made out to be.

You make a good point mckay. Compared to some of the other clients, she really isn't much worse, if even worse at all. Especially compared to Karen, who is for some reason just sooooo adorable when she's a freaking brat. Think about if Jenny went and got a manicure and charged it to her parents room or something. I'm sure the girls would go on and on about what a spoiled brat she was to do something like that, but Kristy just burst into laughter when Karen did it. And yeah Claire is actually very needy and kinda bratty a lot, but no one says anything about it. Anyway, I'd rather sit for Jenny anyday over someone like Jackie Rodowsky for example.

mckay, I agree with you! A lot of Jenny's "brattiness" is due to her age and the way she was raised. I really thought the girls were way too hard on her, especially when you bring up all of those examples of the other kids' behavior. To me, Jenny was pretty much a regular four year old, besides the not liking to get dirty thing. I think most four year olds don't care how dirty their clothes are, but Jenny's mom would've freaked out whenever she had a speck of dirt on her perfect dress, so I'm sure it was drilled into her head to stay clean all the time.

I would personally prefer to babysit for a four year old who would rather play inside and not get dirty. My cousin has four year old twin girls and a few hours with them leaves me desperate for a nap. They're great kids, don't get me wrong, but they never. Stop. Moving.
I'd take Jenny over Jackie (poor kid, he seemed so nice, but my god) or Karen any day.

I wouldn't mind babysitting for Jenny, I like her relationship w/ her sister. I was wondering what book covers Jenny appeared in, (besides MA saves the day and Miss Priss.)or any episodes she appeared in.

I thought MA was really harsh calling Jenny a BRAT! in Jessi's Secret Language. Yes, Jenny was pretty rude calling Matt weird but she's 4 - you have to expect a kid that age not to respond with much tact. They tend to blurt out whatever questions they have. A friend's little boy once asked an obese man "Why are you so fat?" He didn't mean any harm by it - just didn't know better. I think this was the case with Jenny. I did laugh about her eating the pudding out of the "goblet"

I just read MA and Miss Priss and felt sorry for Jenny. She was jealous of Andrea, but I couldn't blame her. And I think it was more that she just wanted attention and appreciation too (I can totally relate to that sometimes . She was a brat to the kids playing kickball but I thought they were mean to her by saying right to her that they didn't want her to play. I know Jenny brings a lot of things on herself, but sometimes it seems like everyone is too harsh with the "brat" stereotype. Another thing that bugs me, the BSC assuming she had OCD. They are always quick to attribute psychological problems to some situations.

I felt really bad for Jenny in MA and Miss Priss. I think she actually WOULD like to play with other kids and be a more normal 4 year old, but her mother has kind of brainwashed her into being against those normal activities. And I thought the other kids were pretty cruel to her in that book
