My youngest brother had red hair...it's still kind of light reddish brown. Both my parents have dark hair, even though my mom started out blond. I kind of thought my hair would get much darker as I got older, but it really hasn't. I'm still blond. My other brother and my sister both have that kind of non-descript hair color that's somewhere between brown and blond, but they get blonder in the summer. So, it IS possible to get lots of different (natural) hair colors in one family.

My mom's parents had black and dark brown hair and she has really light blonde hair. My family has four kids and we all have blond hair; even though my stepmom's hair is black her kids both have blond hair. Hair is genetically very complicated; i think there's three different genes that go into determining color and you have many different alleles for all of them. It's pretty cool I think.

I was just joking about Mallory's parentage. I like to think that there's some scandalous secrets buried in Stoneybrook lol.

I figured you were joking...it IS kind of fun to imagine what goes on behind closed doors is the suburban land of Stoneybrook!

I never realized it until reading this thread, but I never was able to picture Nicky with glasses. I picture Vanessa with glasses, though. I picture her as looking a lot like Mallory, but with dark brown hair and not as fugly.

I have to admit when I was younger, I always liked reading about the Pikes. maybe mostly because I was the only child for a long time.

Sorry to double post, but I was wondering where any of the Pike Kids (besides Mal of course.) were in the tv show or movie, and if so does anyone of pictures of them?

Vanessa was definitely in the movie, and I think Nicky might have been as well?

I wonder why Margo and Claire were never in the show or movie. Although I should probably admit that I totally want to play that Secret Agents game with the Pikes. What book was that in?

Vanessa's in a couple episodes of the TV series, in Claudia and the Mystery of the Secret Passage and Jessi and the Mystery of the Stolen Secrets; I don't know if she's in any others. There are some pictures on Ashley's site, such as this one here. She doesn't look the way I pictured her.
