That sounds like it's going to be a goood fanfic I could picture Nicky becoming like a goth kid, the outsider in the family and in school, alone with his bitter thoughts. Sorry Nicky.

I don't see Nicky as being genuinely dangerous. I'd picture him as becoming more of a mall goth -- buying studded bracelets at Hot Topic and bitching about people who dressed in clothes from the other side of the mall and how no one understood him.

Well, I tend to picture multiple future BSC universes. The one with Karen singing bubblegum pop and acting in teen movies is just one of many possible futures I think about. And I didn't say that because I picture her as a ho, I said that because she is definitely a total ATTENTION HO.
While I agree that Byron as gay is a bit too predictable, I really like the Byron/Jeff pairing. Jeff isn't known for being "the sensitive type," and he's half of that pairing. You could rightfully argue that Jeff is only half of that pairing because he's the only obvious choice -- the only close friend of Byron's who's not one of the other triplets, but if it weren't for that, saying that Jeff was gay wouldn't be predictable and stereotypical at all. Byron as gay is a bit stereotypical, but there are plenty of gay guys who are sensitive, so why can't Byron be sensitive and gay?

I love Byron and Jeff too. I was afraid to mention it because I wasn't sure how you guys perceived slash here. I think the pairing is a bit overdone considering the lack of canonical evidence but I absolutely LOVE Blue! I love the way the relationship develops slowly unlike most fics and it's so romantic in a lowkey way (like at the end of the last chapter when Jeff's hand feels empty and he takes Byron's). Am I a pervert if I think Linny Papadakis becomes hot when he grows up? I don't mean he's hot in the books (I don't think I've even seen a picture of him) but the description of him (Greek, dark hair, deep brown eyes, olive skin and a terrific smile) sounds like the kind of guy I'd like if he were older.

IMO, there is nothing wrong with slash as long as it's well-written Also, thanks a lot -- after reading your rationale for why Linny becomes hot, ITA with it and feel a little bit like a pedophile

^ To be fair, though, I'm sure you're imagining Linny as a 20-something, not as his nine-yr-old self. Well... I'd hope you are ;D

^Yes, and when you listed those qualities I sort of subconsciously started imagining Mark Philippoussis. No, I am not too proud to lust after the same man Paris Hilton did

No, I am not too proud to lust after the same man Paris Hilton did She's apparently involved with Jose Theodore and I always thought he was REALLY hot!

I can see Nicky becoming a computer/video game geek and developing some new technology or writing a new game and becoming a mega-millionaire then sticking to the triplets. Of course, he'd take care of the rest of the family, especially Vanessa, Margo and Claire since he was probably playing with them for most of his childhood.

I think I agree with sugarmonkey when it comes to Nicky. He's a loner and a geek as a child, so he could be the one to be rakin' in the big bucks as an adult while the triplets are working at the mall or something

Didn't Nicky make more money than alll the triplets together when their father lost his job in poor Mallory?

^Yeah, he did!
I like lilafowler's description as Nicky as a mall goth, though. That's the one I'm gonna go with!
What bothers me about it is that BSC fans ALWAYS peg the most obvious characters as gay. Byron because he's sensitive, Kristy because she's a tomboy, and even Abby because she's most similar to Kristy. I've never heard of anybody saying "oh, I can see Claudia growing up to be a lesbian, or Jackie Rodowsky growing up to be gay." It's always Byron, Kristy, and Abby, which gets on my nerves because they're not basing it on anything other than stereotypes.

I don't think she's gay, but I can definitely see Stacey experiment with a little girl on girl action in college.
