I peg Abby as a lesbian simply because of her complete rejection of the male sex. Sure, she claims to have had boyfriends on Long Island, but that makes the lesbian scenario all the more realisitic. Look at Abby's Un-Valentine. She seems totally grossed out by the idea of going out on a date with a guy. It's not because she's sporty or whatever. She really just can't fathom the idea of dating a guy, although she claims to have done so before.

Yeah, I wonder about Abby, but not because she's an athlete (I don't think Kristy is). Just some of the things she says. Hey, maybe Stacey's chronic dating is just a cover up. Claudia for Ashley Wyeth maybe.

Abby's 13! What's wrong with not liking boys at 13?! It's okay to have interests other than boys and fashion. I mean everyone gets on the BSC for ragging on Kristy because she's not interested in clothes, but now WE'RE ragging on Abby for not being interested in boys! Oi!
Oh, and Stacey would TOTALLY be a PTL - Party Time Lesbian, because don't you know the boyz think it's hawt?!

^Yep. Stacey would definitely be the bi-at-a-frat party type.

Nothing, but if she dated boys in LI and then suddenly lost all interest in boys, then that just raises a red flag for me. I know tons of kids (i went to a high school and go to a college notorious for having large LGBT populations) who had middle school "relationships" with the opposite sex but were actually gay.

I don't think there's anything odd in Abby losing interest in boys. I just assume that after dating a couple guys, Abby decided she wasn't interested in dating yet. Junior high relationships are lame, so I don't blame her.
And I don't think it's odd either that Abby's not boy-crazy like the other girls. I wasn't interested in boys or make-up or clothes when I was thirteen. I wasn't a tomboy either. I had crushes on boys, but would have been horrified at the thought of actually going on a date with them (or worse, kissing them). I actually wasn't interested in boys or make-up until I was eighteen and went away to college. Dating just isn't a high priority on some girls' lists, which is one of the (few) things I like about Abby (and Dawn, as well).

TOTAL word.
Likewise.
Those boy-crazy giggly types always really annoyed me. And I knew no one ever took 13 yr old relationships seriously, so I never thought to even put on an act to impress people. That's why a lot of the tween novels bugged me, they assume that girls go through this stage when they're like 12/13 when they're obsessed with boys and it's just not the case for everyone.

I'm not saying Mallory's a lesbian but I have a feeling that if Jessi wanted to kiss her or something, she'd be up for it. Mallory seems to have a bit of a girl crush on her.

I think Mallory would be down with that. She'd be the kind of girl who practiced making out on her friends.

^Or her pillow
Jessi would be conflicted, though. She'd be all "Do I have to be loyal to Quint? Does it count as cheating if it's a girl?"

"I wonder if Mallory will tip my chin like Quint?"

Mallory's too short. Jessi will have to do the chin tipping. She can be Mal's first kiss!

^We all know she didn't kiss Ben Hobart, or he would have caught her mono.
I thought it was kind of cute in a pathetic way how Mallory flipped out and started swearing up and down that she never kissed Ben, and Mrs. Pike was like, "Chill. You think I'm worried about you being anything but celibate? Growing up in this family is the best public service announcement for abstinence possible."

I don't see Byron as being gay... I see him as getting involved in really great relationships with girls that the other two triplets are secretly jealous of because they are too busy going to frat parties and guzzling beer to find anyone who isn't impressed by stuff like that.
