I always wondered how Karen (and Andrew and the Delaneys) and Jenny would get along if they lived near each other. I wonder why the Prezziosos didn't live in the ritzier part of town (or did they?) Unless they weren't rich, just pretentious.

It says in the complete guide that they weren't rich.

And yet Jenny seemed to have a wardrobe of Sex and the City proportions. Go figure. Well, they never said her clothes were *nice* clothes, just overly dressy, I suppose.

I know some people that are heavily in debt because they live way beyond their means. I wouldn't be surprised if the Prezziosos were like that.

Karen: Kristy with blonde hair and a more extensive wardrobe
Andrew: Total wuss. Karen will refuse to hang out with him and he will not have many friends
Charlotte: She totally goes goth in high school after Becca gets really popular and drops her like a hot potato
Jenny: The type of girl you see on shows like "My Super Sweet 16." Total spoiled brat
Emily Michelle: I like to think she'll be popular. Possibly into band or drama.
Myriah: Definitely into drama, the kind of girl who gets the lead every. d**n. time.
Claire: Also into drama, she'll be that one kid in drama class everyone labels as "the funny one" who gets all the comedic roles
Adam/Jordan: High school dropouts

Charlotte always reminds me of how my mom must have been as a child (from what she's told me and similarities in personalities I see). My mom is an elementary school teacher (has been for 40 years) so I think that's a pretty accurate prediction. Karen is one of those kids that while I can identify with her personality as a kid the lifestyle she grew with (all that money, countless vacations, parties, private school, lessons in everything etc.) is so far removed from my reality that I can't even begin to imagine. I did meet these rich kids a while back and the oldest was so worried about getting into the BEST Ivy league school (not just "an" Ivy league school) that it almost made me feel bad for him (all that pressure I mean). I can't understand that. I'm one of the only people I grew up with who didn't go to Community College and that was a huge thing for me (I went to a small state University that was 20 minutes away from home). I see Karen as being one of those kids who's big into what school she gets into, or at least who's parents are. Or, maybe she'll talk them into letting her go to L.A. and audition for commercials and things. I could see her with an acting career, or something in the public spotlight. She had so much privilege I suppose I can imagine almost anything for her.

^ I definitely don't see Karen's parents caring what school she goes to, as long as she goes SOMEWHERE. The Prezziosos are another story, though. When do you think they'll start pushing for Jenny to go to Harvard?

^That's a good point. They pretty much let her do whatever she wanted as a kid so I don' really see that changing all of a sudden when college comes in, but I could see them telling her she has to go SOMEWHERE.

^^ Yeah, for having all that dough (and presumably having grown up with money, given the house and Old Ben Brewer), Watson is a pretty cool guy.

^Oh, they'd totally be supportive of wherever Karen wanted to go.

I see Karen trying acting school and dropping out, a dance school and dropping out, a fashion school and dropping out, then finally settling into a traditional school, fails to make the cheerleading squad but stays enrolled.

I actually see Karen as being pretty successful in something like business. I think she's a lot like Kristy in that regard. Or she might go into teaching. I'm not sure who the dropouts might be from the BSC charges. Maybe David Michael because he couldn't cope. I see him as having these kinds of tendencies. Andrew too.

Yeah, she definitely seems the sort to try a lot of things before settling on something.

To me Karen seems like the type that if she's not the absolute best at something, she doesn't want to do it, which certainly wouldn't be a helpful attitude as she gets older.
