There are certain clients who pop up over and over and over, like the Pikes (obviously), the Barretts, and the Newtons. Which clients do you wish would be used more? For me, it was the Papadakises (sp?!). I love Hannie! I think she sounds so adorable, they always describe her as this cute little brunette who's a bit pudgy. Kinda like an older Suzi Barrett, in my mind (is Suzi brunette? They never fail to mention her pudgy tummy!) and she sounds so cute. Plus she's sweet and kinda spunky, I wish they featured her more, but alas you have to delve into LS books to get a lot of Hannie, and I just can't get into LS books anymore!

I thought of the Ohdners immediately when I saw this thread title!

^Me too!
They should have made the Ohdners the racist clients instead of the Lowells. Then at least those poor bastards could have gotten a chapter in the Complete Guide, rather than their pathetic entry with "Rarely mentioned".

Oh, I agree about the Papadakises! Hannie really did sound adorable. I love the illustrations in the LS books, she always looks so cute. I thought the Kuhns were pretty underused. And ever since the discussion about Norman and Sarah Hill in another thread, I would have liked to see more of them as well.
...Who are the Ohdners? Sounds familiar but nothing is clicking.

Timmy and Scott Hsu (Trying to figues out how that was spelt meant that I had to go clean up half of my hosue to find my Complete Guide :S) They were mentioned occasionally, and I think they were in the Kruchers, but they never sat for them, which was sad because I thought they sounded so cute.

^I was thinking the Hsus too! Did they feature more prominently in LS books? I was going to mention the Gianellis, but Bobby makes quite a few appearances in Karen's books.

Hmm...that's true, they rarely actually sit for the Hsus. They usually just play with whoever the BSC are sitting for of the other kids in the neighborhood and get mentioned that way.

The ohdners are just a family that is mentioned every once in a while as being clients, but you never actually see them in the series, or know who the kids are.

Their kids had measles! And that's about all we know about them.

How about Mr. Morgan and his four sons? The BSC got a call from them in "Logan Likes Mary Anne!" which is what prompted them to ask Logan to be an associate member. I don't think they ever appeared again. Maybe they didn't like Logan.

I've recently been rereading a lot of of higher number mysteries and it bugs me that they introduce new clients for every one and then never mention them again. The Craines - way back in Mystery #3 - are another family that were in a mystery but barely used. Then there were the kids from the bookstore in MA and the Haunted Bookstore and Jimmy Cook from Claudia and the Mystery in the Painting (I think that's the title) that I don't remember ever reading about again. Why couldn't they just use existing members? I did like reading about new characters but wish they wouldn't have dropped off the face of the Stoneybrook earth after serving their storyline purpose in one book.

Well, the Craines made sense--they had a nanny who was injured. Maybe it was too awkward when the BSC solves a mystery for you to hire them again. You may have to pay them more.

ohhh the Crane girls were sooo cute. They should've kept them around. They were very sweet and they look so freaking cute on the cover of Mallory and the Ghost Cat!

Yeah, I loved the Craine girls! They pop up again, for one chapter, in Kristy and the Worst Kid Ever. Jessi sits for them, but I think she basically spends the whole time thinking about Lou and what's going on with that situation. I would have loved for those little girls to become regular clients. But then again, they were a lot like the Perkins girls. I think they were all about the same ages, although they weren't winning pagents (ok, coming in 2nd place) and performing musicals like Myriah and Gabbie..
