Didn't see a thread for them. They weren't major charges but were in several books and I always found them kind of strange. They seem to have some very exaggerated fears and phobias. The latest I read about them in was Mary Anne Misses Logan and the thing with the toilet monster was just a little much. And wearing the diapers on their heads as hats??? Bill is 10 - 1 year younger than Mal and Jessi. Even the Pike triplets seem a bit more advanced than that and even Karen's imagination doesn't even seem as bizarre as theirs. Don't hate them or anything and actually like them more than the Arnold twins but they just seem like very odd children.

You're right, they ARE weird! I hated the Toilet Monster thing. It was such a HUGE deal and it was so freaking stupid. I also hated Skylar's screaches of "tat! tat!" Argh. Annoying. They seemed nice enough, but yeah just kinda odd.

Bill wasn't that old, was he? I thought he and Melody were 9 and 7.

The book I read said 10 for Bill and 7 for Melody, I think. Of course, Suzi Barrett alternates between 4 adn 5 and countless others change ages

You're probably right...I haven't read a book featuring them in awhile, so I could just be pulling those ages out of thin air.

God, I hated the toilet monster. So ridiculous. Why didn't their parents take care of that problem? The BSC had to deal with it like a million times. I did think that Skylar and Melody sounded cute, though. I never really cared for Bill. Mostly because his name is "Bill." What 9/10 year old is really called Bill? Couldn't they call him Billy instead?

The toilet monster was so stupid! I know plenty of kids around the Korman's ages and even younger. They are all from different backgrounds and such, yet I can't see any of them believing there's a monster in the toilet.

Oh my God, reading about ages in this thread reminded me that in my dream last night, I was reading a BSC book which said that Charlotte Johanssen was six years old, and in the dream I was very indignant about this error. It was a long, weird dream and most of it was not BSC-related, which is why I forgot about that part until just now.

Everyone is right - I just looked and Bill is 9. Don't know why I was sure it said 10. I must have been having one of those days... Maybe the toilet monster was keeping me awake

I hate the toilet monster. I think it's okay later on in the series where it's sometimes mentioned as a joke, but to actually be scared of such a thing? Yeah, the kids do seem strange. The girls do have some pretty names, though

They seemed nice enough, but yeah just kinda odd. "Tat tat" reminds me of the particularly annoying subplot where Karen is over playing and Melody insists on pretending she is a cat. Karen gets mad and wants to go home (who could blame her), if I remember right. I think the book might have been MA and Too Many Babies or it might have been a Little Sister book. Anyone remember this one? I would like to reread so I can get a good laugh over the Kormans' strangeness

I was going to comment on Melody playing a cat! I just reread Mallory and the ghost cat and i found that chapter to seem really....weird. I defiantly raised an eyebrow at that.
