I thought Suzy was adorable, the shaving line was priceless, although I don't think Richard appreciated it all that much.

Didn't in the movie she have a imaginary friend named Jimmy Tony or something like that? It was mentioned in one of the books too ( Kristy and the Baby Parade?). My favorite Nina moment was in Claudia and Mean Janine, when the playgroup was bathing Louie: "He shrank!"

Aww, how cute, as a child I never really gave either girl much though, but now as an adult, I think that they are sweet kids, and wished they were in the books more.

My only problem with the Marshalls was that I just could never picture Eleanor as a baby because to me, Eleanor was an old lady's name. So whenever they mentioned the baby I always had this mental image of an old lady's head on a baby body. I was strange.

Nina in the movie is sooo cute.
I never liked the name Eleanor for a baby, but I think it's pretty and classic now. I like old-fashioned, traditional names much more now. And maybe it was a family name. They could always call her Ellie when she got older.

I like traditional old names as well, but whenever I hear Eleanor I think of Eleanor Roosevelt.

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone with seeing Eleanor as an old name - I have a problem picturing both girls as little kids because I had great aunts (both dead now but would have been in their late 90s) with both names. Though my aunt Nina was pronounced "Nine-a" and I say Nina Marshall as Neena, so that helps a little. Eleanor does look really cute on the cover of Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls. Maybe I should mentally create a nickname for her.

Maybe Ellie, as a nickname for Eleanor?
The Marshalls weren't in the series enough for me to really have a strong opinion about them, but I agree with everyone - they seem like sweet kids. I wish they had been in the books more. They seemed to disappear in the later books, except for Kristy and Mr. Mom. Does anyone know if they show up in the much later books (in the 100s)?
Mrs. Marshall seemed like an okay parent to me. While she really should've mentioned that there would be more kids to look after than just hers, Stacey and Claud were in the wrong to just show up and expect full pay - each - without talking to her first. Don't they leave after Mrs. Marshall doesn't agree to that? My memory's a little fuzzy on that particular storyline.

Just read Baby Parade and it mentions Jimmytony. So cute ;D Is he ever mentioned in any other books? I know someone said the movie talks about him. I also thought Eleanor in her “evening gown” sounded so cute in that book.

He's in the movie. I thought he was made up for the movie as I don't remember him in the books.

Nina and Eleanor always seemed like cute, well-behaved little girls to me. I always think of the Eleanor when the BSC lets the kids give Louie a bath and she's wiggling her toes and playing with them. That's such a cute baby thing to do, IDK, they just seemed adorable, even though they weren't mentioned a whole lot.
