I can't remember which book it was, but I think they used Mrs. Newton's first name in a book which featured her sister.

^They say her sister's name is Diane, but I didn't find Mrs. Newton's first name.

Seems to me that the Complete Guide has some gaps.

yeah, like it mentions in Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls that Emily Bernstein borrowed a sweater from her older sister, yet the fact that Emily has a sister is not mentioned in the Complete Guide.

I finally found some other mentions of Mr. Marshall – he comes to the garage sale in #7 Goodbye Stacey and calls to request a sitter in Stacey’s Ex Best Friend. I think it was like book #54, though, so maybe something happened between that one and Mr. Mom when he is not mentioned at all….

it could be that he just works a lot. my dad leaves early, comes home late and is often travelling.

^ I think that is what he wanted to buy. It always made me lol. I know someone wanted to buy it, anyway. I think the Marshalls are really sweet, and I would have liked to see them in more books. Realy felt for Nina, getting picked on in school, poor little girl And I think Eleanor looked sooo adorable on the Phantom Phone Calls cover. I've always liked these kids more than say, the Perkins, just cause they were perfect in every way, and the Marshalls seemed more.. real. Though I can't bring myself to say anything bad about the Perkins girls, either, because they were cuties too

I didn't like Mrs.Marshall in Kristy and Mr.Mom very much. I'm still wondering what made her so cranky.

^ I agree about Mrs. Marshall. She seemed different. Maybe she was going through a divorce since there was no Mr. Marshall mentioned in that one, only? ;D
