^Did they have the dryer that ate the blanket? That still freaks me out. What the hell kind of dryer has stuff stick to the walls and burn up? And Nina reached in and burned her fingers. Um, fire hazard.

Um, fire hazard. I took it as meaning that the blanket was so old and had been washed so many times that it just fell apart. Don't know about Nina burning her fingers, though.

^ I'm not sure if it's the same subplot but didn't Dawn put the pieces of the blanket inside of Nina's clothes so she could carry it around with her? That was so cute. That was quick-thinking Dawn.

I'm sure the blanket would have been fine if it hadn't been so worn, but the dryer sounded overly hot. Sorry to copy so much, but:
I guess "plastered against the side" could just mean smooshed in corner and not actually stuck to anything. Dawn said the blanket was pulling apart like cotton candy. I don't know why she didn't reach in and scoop it up with both hands rather than continuously pick at it.
