He seemed to pop up as the psycho-kid. LOL.

^ That's why I'm surprised he's not leading the poll. Maybe he's considered beyond hope Kind of reminds me of one of my cousins who was actually put in a kids mental facility at 10 for trying to burn the house down and has had all kinds of therapy/medication/etc. with no success. It scares me that he sometimes lives across the street at his grandparents' . Speaking of Mel, what books has he been in? I know Beware Dawn is a big one and then there are few where he picks on the Hobart boys. What ones are those? Are there any others that feature him? It was Sean who set the books on fire in MA and the Library Mystery, right?

I'm pretty sure he is in Claudia, Queen of the Seventh Grade. He picks on Sean Addison in that book.

^ I had forgotten about that - one disturbed child picking on another. Very intersting. I might have to reread that one soon just for that part as I don't really remember it. As for Secret of Susan, I didn't remember that was Mel. I've only read once as it is one of my least favorites. But I may have to reread it soon, too. My list keeps growing

Who was Megan Farmer- and what did she do?? It's been a while since i've read the Recipe for Disaster, so my mind is spacing on that one.

SPOILERS FOR THE SUBPLOT IN 'RECIPE FOR DANGER'!!!
Highlight to read: Megan Farmer was the little girl in 'Recipe' whose brother was always doing bad stuff (stealing, making general mischief) and telling them it was Megan doing it. And Megan would just go along with it.

I found it to be kind of a trend in the BSC, where there is always some misguided person that ends up as the culprit in a mystery.

I haven't voted yet, cause I haven't read some of those books. But my vote is going toward Mel right now... that kid seems to have no morals!

Definitely Sean. He's a future psychopath. Mel's not too far behind, though.

What about that Zach kid that was bothering Susan? Was he ever mentioned again? I seem to remember him picking on the Hobart boys, too, in another book.

yeah and his teasing seemed more like "normal" kid teasing, not necessarily completely malicious.

^ You're probably right. I don't remember him except in the one book, which is why I was curious. Maybe he just needed to get away from Mel and have a good influence like James. I really like the Hobart boys ;D
