Trying to decide what order to do my "sitting for" signatures in and need some advice on who is the easiest client to sit for. My choices that I'm trying to rank are (I'm not listing these in order): Braddocks (Matt's deafness and Hayley's lying might be problems) Newtons (Jamie can be hyper and difficult sometimes) Arnolds (the twins sometimes switch places and give sitters a hard time) Ramseys (Squirt is very active sometimes and Becca can be a bit difficult) How would you rank those from easiest to hardest? My initial thoughts might be Ramseys Newtons Arnolds Braddocks But I'm not sure. Anxious for feedback and others' opinions so I can stop puzzling over this

That could work, but what about the Marshalls? They're cute.

I would rank them the same way as you would, I think. Although the Ramseys and the Newtons might be more of a tie. It's probably easier sitting for a nice, normal eight-year-old like Becca than it is for a nice, normal four-year-old like Jamie because you don't have to watch her quite as closely, but lots of sitting jobs for Becca and Squirt turn into sitting jobs for Becca, Charlotte, and Squirt. So you'd really be watching three kids instead of two.

I might switch the Braddocks and the Arnolds, because Haley never seemed that difficult until Little Liar, but the Arnold twins seemed pretty tiring.

I would've actually ranked them: Ramseys Arnolds (after Mal the trouble w/ twins, I don't think they were difficult) Newtons Braddocks (I'd have a lot of trouble with matt)
Are you gonna sit for the Hobarts at all? they seem relatively easy.

Hobarts are next. I was also thinking of the Marshalls but couldn't find cover pics of them. Brunos either. I'm still looking for a cute quote or more pics of Hobarts. Thanks for the suggestions on the ranking

Matt's a pretty good kid, and as long as you know some sign langage or Haley there, I don't think it would be too bad.

Of course, I forgot that I don't know sign language. I think this is the sum total of what I could say to Matt, unless I finger-spelled everything:
hello my name is I love you mother father girl boy deer help on off go to hell

Because it looks sort of similar to one variation of the sign for "father," which you can see on this page (scroll down). For "deer," you make antlers out of both of your hands like so.

I considered learning to sign once but don't think I'd be to talented at it. Unlike Jessi, I'm not good with languages. I actually don't think that Matt would be that much trouble but it would be a lot of work signing. Hayley may be the problem (but she is pretty good in most books). I still rank them with Braddocks last and probably Newtons third (anyway, I want to sit for Newtons as soon as possible because Jamie is just so cute - though the bike will be staying in the garage

I sat behind people on the bus this afternoon who were using sign language and I was trying not to stare at them. It was a "Hey, I wrote a post about sign language yesterday -- cool" kind of thing, not an "At least one of you is deaf -- MUST STARE!" kind of thing, but I couldn't expect them to know that.

I'd put the Braddocks as last, not because I think they're trouble but because communicating with Matt and looking at Haley's rattail all afternoon would be really difficult for me.

The sign language would be a challenge for me too. The rattail would just be downright scary.
