Hehe Victoria could easily watch her American shows in Britain. There's a channel that's practicaly devoted to Friends, playing it several times a day! ;D

^ Mrs. Rutherford would definitely put a block on that channel. ;D

Well now, with all the money victoria seems to spend, she could easily get a DVD player. I think it be funny to think of this though:
Victoria Kent meets Ebay...hahaha

^ I doubt Mrs. Rutherford would let her watch the DVDs she wanted to, though. ;D And I'm not sure how she could get the player and the DVDs for herself without anyone knowing.....

^ I agree. She was a snob. But I think that's how she dealt with all the frustration of moving and being the new kid. She was probably just bewildered as to why the other kids found her so fascinating and found it to be annoying. Kind of like how the Stoneybrook kids were obsessed with the Hobarts, only they ridiculed the Hobarts and revered Victoria.

I don't think that Victoria was snobby, or that she meant to be. I think she was probably shy, missed her friends and was living in a new country which is bound to be hard.
It was funny, how excited she got, but seriously, her books also seriously annoyed me. Like in Playground Fight, when they had a barbeque and her parents thought it was weird. What? We love our barbeques here! Especially as we don't get the weather for them all that often!
Auughhhhhh I hate how stereotyped they made British people. I seem to have a real bee in my bonnet about that.

^I never really understood that--had no one who worked on the BSC ever met a British person before?

An extremely old thread. Bumping.
I liked Victoria. She's featured in three books, The Little Princess, Playground Fight, and European Vacation, right? She should've been included in more books.
It's cute how "American" Victoria tried to be. It cracked me up when she said 'sucks'! I'm a little surprised that this particular word showed up in a BSC book...

I think Victoria was in more than three books, but I'm not sure. Personally, I didn't mind her. I found her nanny more irritating - it felt like Victoria couldn't have any fun. She loosened up a bit, the longer she was in Stoneybrook.
