I know that's an old post but I read it and just got the image of the ghost writers shoving him in a closet and telling him they would see him in a month when Karen returned

I like them but I like Hannie the best, mostly because she's not afraid to stand up to Karen. I like how the name of their pets rhymed with what animal they were.

For some reason I have always liked Linny the best - he seemed like a great overall big brother and was normally pretty good with his sisters.

I'm re-reading Karen's Magician right now. It reminded me that in at least one if not two BSC books Linny was magician in some talent type show, wasn't he? I remember one of them was when Emily didn't want to sing (possibly Twinkle Twinkle) but Sari did by herself. Anyone remember what book(s) this was from? Thanks.

^Thanks, MsStock. I found one magician Linny in "Dawn and the Big Sleepover." I don't think we ever got to read about his show because of Goober Mansfield the dinosaur actor stealing the show. I still think there is another time when Linny=a magician...maybe at one of the charges' circuses? I've been reading so many LS lately but not a whole lot of BSC-- I think I need to read more of both.

Hannie being called Hannie was probably just like Shannon's family calling her Shannie. Hannie would probably unfortunately grow to unlike it, too.

When I was really little, I didn't know Hannie was short for Hannah. It wasn't until I read it in a Little sister book that I made the connection.

Aw, I love the papadakis's! They're so sweet and adorable. They're the most realistic, friendliest, down to earth kids, I think. I especially love Hannie. And Sari. She was a nice, normal toddler who wasn't advanced like gabbie Perkins or too below average like Emily Brewer or marnie Barrett. I love how Hannie really dislikes sari. That's pretty realistic. As for Linnie, he's a good kid. Sensible for a nine year old. The kind of brother that wouldn't be too mean to his sisters. He could easily be the man of the house if he had to. Plus, their pet names are great! Noodle the poodle, myrtle the turtle, pat the cat. In Kristy and the snobs, Kristy mentions that they went barefoot all summer long. That's what I did as a kid, I never wore shoes except occasionally flip flops in the summer.

I think they're cute kids. I love that Hannie would stand up to Karen sometimes. And sari is just to cute when you read about her in some of the LS books.
