The first book they're in is Karen's Birthday, where Hannie describes him as "the new boy down the street" so I guess they moved to Stoneybrook or at least to the big house neighborhood. It was pretty funny too the first time Hannie asked Scott to marry her in that book, he said "Ew, gross." and ran off. Poor Hannie, but such a typical little boy response.

In Karen’s Haircut, it says that the Hsus have just moved. I love Scott in that book. He is so sweet to Hannie. ;D Jessi and the Dance School Phantom also features the Hsus so it appears that they came fairly early in the series. Maybe the BSC just didn’t start sitting for them more at when they were new in town but only later after they became better friends with the Thomas-Brewers or something. I wonder if Scott and Hannie were still “married” at the end of the series. ;D I know Dance School Phantom said they were.

I don't know if they were or not. We heard about Karen's pretend husband in every single book, but Hannie's wasn't mentioned that often after Karen and Ricky's wedding. I think, though, that Karen's personality made her more likely to keep insisting that she was pretend married. Hannie and Scott probably enjoyed it for a while, then moved on to other things. Scott and Timmy both sounded like nice kids. Too bad they were mostly only ever included in crowd scenes or as friends who came over to play. Did we ever see a sitting chapter with them in their own home? I don't remember one, but I'm still a few books shy of the complete series.

^ I know one they are in is MA to the Rescue. MA is babysitting for the Hsus (I think - it's been a while since I've read it) and Timmy almost drowns. They have a pretty prominent role in that one and in some of the other later books. I think they're also in Mind Your Own Business Kristy but no sitting chapters with the BSC. Krusher practices, though.

Hmmm... Maybe one of them *was* actually sitting for the hsus at the time! Exciting!

ok, I'm confusing myself needlessly. Yeah, the original job was for ALL the children, because it makes no sense that both girls were there just for the Kormans.

^ ;D I do that too. I think that one of the girls was sitting for the Hsus and brought them to the Kormans but might be totally off. ;D

I've been wondering how to pronounce their last name. From page one of this thread I see no one else has any idea either. I hope you don't pronounce both the H and the S because then it sounds like you're sneezing.

I hardly got to read about Scott and Timmy Hsu, except for when they were mentioned in Karen's Haircut. I think Scott is Hannie's husband.
