Didn't see a thread for them, but in the last couple BSC books I've read, they've gotten calls from these mysterious people. WHYYYYYYYYY?!?!?!?!?!? WHO ARE THEY?!?!?! Why in the WORLD do they get random calls from these people and never sit for them?! I mean WHAT IS THE POINT? Why can't they just be all "Oh Mrs Perkins called!" instead of "That was Mr. Ohdner" I mean come on. Do they ever say who the children are? How old they are? How many there are? Male or female?!

For some reason, I think Mr. Ohdner (I never think of a wife being around, for some reason) has daughters only.

I've always had the exact same questions, sotypical, and keep forgetting to post them. Thanks for bringing this up. It drives me crazy, too!

I often felt that way too! Sometimes I was left wondering" Who are these clients and why have I never heard of them before"

I like the Ohdners, even though we know so little about them. I think it's because they seem like an inside joke - only real die hard BSC fans would pick up on the fact that they're not really clients.

^I wonder if they were meant to be an inside joke. I like to think that they are because nothing else makes sense! they could SO easily just substitute a REAL client!

I just hate their name. Reminds me of "odor," lol.

I agree, they HAVE to be an inside joke! Or maybe AMM or the ghost writers knew somebody with the last name Ohdner and wanted to include them without having to actually get into detail about their characters? Or they just wanted to see if anyone would notice! Are they mentioned in the Complete Guide?

Did they? Woah didn't they also have the measles as well? Maybe that's why we don't see these kids...

^lol. I was thinking maybe Ann promised some people she knows named Ohdner they could be in the books but didn't actually LIKE the people so didn't let them be actual characters. But I agree it's likely just an inside joke. Which is kind of awesome

A really funny inside joke would have been if there had ever been a family called Bartolini. The father's name of course must be Jim.

did any of you ever read the wayside school series by louis sachar? a story about the ohdners would make a great fanfic parody written in that style...
