Yeah, in Kristy's book they just mentioned more adventures they had, where Sam and Charlie were...all that good stuff. I think it was pretty good continuity.

Oh, thanks for the info guys. I've been meaning to get this one, it's the only Portrait I don't own.

One part i thought was funny is when everyone is mad at Kristy.
"We're fighting." "We never fight."
They fight all the time in the books!

^LOL seriously.
I love how Mallory dresses in the movie. Oh and I looooooooooooove Jessi dancing, after all her motto is "why walk when you can dance?" LOL

Even though it's full of inconsistancies, I think it's an enjoyable movie when you look past them.

Regarding inconsistencies, it really bugs me that Claudia's Nancy Drews are visible on her shelf... she's supposed to hide them, people!

Why is Rosie even in this movie? She's hardly a prominent character in BSC books. Where were Jamie and Lucy Newton? They should've had the hot cousin.
Everytime I watch this movie, I'm slightly disappointed. It could've been SO much better.

i was in 2nd or 3rd grade when this came out. i never saw it in the theaters because (i found out this a few years ago) my parents purposely didn't tell me...they knew i'd go nuts and talk nonstop about it for weeks. i saw it after it came out on video in the video store and literally screamed in the store.
i'm pretty sure i watched this over and over and could probably still quote it. i remember i thought the girl who played kristy was really cool.

a couple of things i've always wondered: ...weren't all of the older members 13 before mallory and jessi joined? .... why did stacy look 17? ....i've never heard of Rosie being mentioned in the books (although i haven't read them all), but wasn't charlotte always hailed as being stacy's favourite.

IIRC, Rosie first appears (and has the biggest storyline) in #49, Claudia and the Genius of Elm Street.

There were SO many other clients that should've been featured before Rosie. It bothers me that Jackie is in the movie... we can never get away from him. Oh and DM looks like he's about 4 in the movie.

.... why did stacy look 17? To make the Luca situation seem less creepy?

^Hee!
I actually thought Movie Stacey was a pretty good representation of Book Stacey -- much closer to the way I imagined Stacey than the book covers.

To make the Luca situation seem less creepy? I just watched a clip of this on youtube (I barely remember anything from the movie). Oh my god. "I'll be 14!" "I know! ;D" Eww. Even though I'd read about this...so wrong. Kristy didn't look right at all.

My husband and I just watched this this afternoon (I found it sitting in the mailbox waiting for me at our hopefully-soon-to-be-sold house after flying home for Easter, very exciting...). We where joking about how gross it was was for supposed 13 year old to be kissing a 17 year old. And then we realized that when I was 13 my husband would have been 21. Cue awkward silence. Maybe there's hope for Stacey and Luca after all.
