I remember going to see this at the movies in the summer back in middle school. Cokie Mason was on Full House for a little while, as she was one of Stephanie's friends.

hehe I'm gonna sound really dorky, but I was like 11 1/2 when the movie came out, and I was thinking it was a big deal because my dad dropped me off to see it and gave me money for it, and I was by myself seeing a "PG" Movie i'm such a dork.

Did anyone catch the movie on ABC Family this past weekend? I saw it on the tv guide but didn't actually watch it. I wonder if they'll ever show it again.

ABC shows it a couple times a year. I've seen it twice and I don't really like it. Jessi looks so young!

But in the books, they show and make her sound so much more like an adult. But in the movie she's so small.

Even if she sounds older, she is still only eleven. And she does look tall on the BSC book covers. It seems like anyone eleven or older is way too tall for their age, and the kids under eleven are little midgets. On Jessi and the Superbrat, Jessi is way taller than the triplets and she is only a year older. Sure, she was said to have long legs, but still....I think her height on the BSC books is unrealistic. That's just my opinion, though.

I read somewhere that the actress who played Jessi in the movie was only 9 years old when they filmed it, and the actress playing Claudia was 17. Quite an age difference for the actresses, considering their characters were only supposed to be two years apart in age!

When I was in the fourth grade I read a short little interview with the actress who played Claudia in a magazine that I was reading for my math class. I think in it "Claudia" was asked if she liked math growing up because book Claudia was such a bad student, etc. I thought that was pretty neat. I didn't see the movie at the time of its release, but a couple of my friends did, who weren't hardcore BSC fans, so I was a little jealous.

I could have seen this in the theater when it came out, but I chose to go to Clueless instead. It was more grown up.
The lines I'll always remember from each character are the "We almost have enough to buy a car.""And in five years we can drive it!" exchange between Jessi and Mallory, the "It's just a small American flag...thing" that Stacey said when she met Luca for the first time, and Claudia's horribly delivered reply "What if I don't?" when Kristy said she'd pass her science test. The three actresses who could kinda act didn't have any memorable lines to me, although when they were doing the "The brain! The brain! The center of the chain!" song and dance Larisa Oleynik had a look on her face like she couldn't believe she was being forced to do that.
Maybe someone's mentioned this before, but I just noticed from IMDb that the kids who played Jackie Rodowsky and Alan Gray are brothers.
Now I want to go watch my copy so I can make fun of it some more.
