The actress who played Dawn here IMO,is the perfect Dawn.

I thought Kristy was the perfect Kristy. I LOLed at Jessi (or Mallory I dont remember who) saying Do you want me to carry this tree around for the party too?

I loved this video so much when I first got it and was so excited. It even came with a postcard of the video cassette cover or something like that and I kept it on my mirror for a long time. My mom watched it with me though and she wondered why none of the family members were in the living room when Kristy was opening up her gift, as she knew about the "big house" cause I started off with Karen and we would read together at bedtime.
Anyways, there are many things that bother me about the video. Kristy working so hard and then giving the mitt away, and having to work that hard when really both elizabeth and watson could have pitched in and bought it, cause baseball is Kristy's passion after all.
Stacey acting distant from Charlotte a little bit cause she's not well
Secret Santa not working out, crazy idea!

This seems to be a favorite of a lot of people, but I didn’t like it that much. At least not the hospital parts. I was kinda amused by Stacey chowing down on everything sugar coated in sight and nobody but Dawn even noticing. Dawn wasn’t even being Sugar Nazi Dawn about it, she was just genuinely concerned about her. The Rodowskys even called to book two sitters (Dawn and Stacey, of course), and before they called back to confirm, Dawn said “Ask if we can bake cookies!” TV Dawn was way into feeding kids cookies.
Elizabeth's thinking with the glove could have been that if she bought one kid a $150 gift then to be fair she would have to buy the other six kids $150 gifts. I thought it was funny that Kristy whispered the price into her mom's ear when there was nobody but the two of them in the room. Then on Christmas morning it was still just the two of them opening the presents. They really must not have wanted to pay extra for all the extra actors needed to play the Brewer/Thomas family.
I don't know why the poor broken legged boy seemed to be living in the hospital. Maybe his parents could have afforded a glove for them if they had bothered to pick him up. Except they didn't have a car, which Kristy laughed about. This one made me think that Kristy would start taking money for granted after living in the big house for a few years.

I LOLed at the part where Dawn takes the cookies away from the kids, and then Stacey takes the plate and gives it back to them and says "it's Christmas". Kind of a slap in Dawn's face.
Claudia wearing the face mask and shower cap WAS hilarious, but what was even more hilarious is that Jessi exclaims that the mask "is beautiful", and then in another scene she receives it AS HER SECRET SANTA GIFT. Kind of lame, if you ask me.
Claudia is huge and doesn't look Japanese at all. I did like Dawn's hair in some parts -- in one scene it looked really fluffy and nice -- and so I was pleased at that.
The image of Stoneybrook General Hospital looks like it should really be Stoneybrook Old-Age Home or something.

how did you find out how much the glove was??? Kristy whispers it into Elizabeth's ear after she asks for the price. You can clearly hear Kristy say $50 at the end of another price. Like it was some hundred and fifty dollars. (I personally always thought it was $350 but that's probably just what my brain filled in when I couldn't clearly hear Kristy's entire whispering. I'm going to watch it again this season, probably today, and I'll have to listen close to that part to see if I can hear it more clearly.)

I hear the $50 at the end, and I assume it's more than that since 50 wouldn't be *that* expensive.

I did a quick search and one baseball glove site had a range of $35-$400 mitts. $400!

I watched this again today and Charlotte has a side ponytail and is wearing jeans with the waist practically up to her armpits and the cuffs rolled way up. Wow. There are no words.

It was the early 90's. I was looking at an old photoalbum and my sister asked me why my jeans were so high up with the shirt tucked in too, and I had my cuffs rolled up in a lot of pics as well!
