I find it sad they cut Laine out of the series. They basically cut the last tie Stacey had to a pre-Stoneybrook life. It always surprises me that basically just one visit ended their lifelong friendship.

Did Stacey and Laine ever make up again after Ex-Best Friend? I don’t remember when NY NY takes place but would hope it wasn’t after Ex Best Friend because that would be like ignoring that book completely….

Well, black nail polish was really "in" last spring or winter. It seemed like everyone was wearing chanel's black satin.
Of course, that doesn't explain Laine in 1992.

Not saying there was anything wrong with it or that it wasn't "in" at some point in time (though I personally don't care for it ;D) - just that I can see "King" dressing like that. No matter what Laine's taste in fashion, I don't think she was a good friend. That's why I'm glad Stacey got away from her. ;D

I love dark nail polishes (never worn black though). In fact the only one I have on my desk at the moment is 'midnight plum'

I like dark, but I don't like playing the piano with dark nail polish because it makes my fingers look shorter. I'm wearing pink right for some reason.
