Sometimes I wonder if Charlie is so good to Kristy and the other kids because he had to grow up so fast and become the “dad” of the family. So he is not as easily embarrassed about doing stuff for them as a typical, more self-centered teenager would be (if this makes sense). I really liked him in Baby Parade – he should have won something for driving that awful float ;D

That makes sense. I think Charlie's a really good older brother. Sam seems like he would be a lot of fun to be around.

Elizabeth must have been a good mother at one time because all of her kids seemed pretty awesome. Sam was in the school band, on the math team, had a job, and was cool enough to have his big brother want to hang out with him all the time. I used to have a crush on him. He seemed like a lot of fun to hang around, although he may get a bit tiring. Charlie was mature beyond his years and seemed so involved with Kristy's life. I remember in the Baby Parade book when all the families came to the graduation party, Elizabeth and Watson didn't go but Nannie and Charlie did. He drove the club members all over the place for basically free. I don't know any 17 year old guy who would willingly spend so much time with his little sister's annoying 13 year old friends. I like Sam...*blushes* And I also think that Charlie has been a really, really great brother to Kristy

^ Agree. To Karen, DM and Andrew, too. I really like him in the LS books and he's one of my favorites at the Big House. I love it how he has Karen help him get back the monster in Karen's Monster and when he and Sam take her out on a "date" in worst day. ;D

I thought it was really sweet how Charlie walked Elizabeth down the aisle and “gave her away” at her wedding to Watson. This is another example, to me, of Charlie being the “dad” and taking care of not only the other kids but also his mom. I really like him. ;D What was Sam in the wedding? I think it would have been kind of cool if he would have given Elizabeth away too (and DM and Kristy) but I think this also shows how Charlie has more of the caretaker role in the family.

I wish I had some sort of inspiration and drive to write fanfiction (and work the the ones I already have) because I'm feeling a Charlie fic coming on. I like how he took over the father role in the thomas family, and how he gave away his mother. While it is kind of creepy how he is always availible to take Kristy places, and in Stacey and the Mystery Money he was checking out an eighth grader... (let's hope she's 14) he seems to be a nice guy.
Plus he blow drys his hair.

Well, at least he got the satisfaction of taking it to the dump and watching it get smushed in the trash compactor!

^ That's nice they were all in the wedding. Were DM and Andrew ring bearers?

David Michael was the ring bearer, and Watson told Andrew he could walk beside Karen down the aisle (to which Sam asked "would that make him the flower boy?") But I think Andrew refused to be in the wedding.

I think Andrew was too bashful to be in it.
