^ That's true, but on the other hand, she also starts going out with the Trip-Man in that book, and she's still going out with him at least fourteen books later because they're still seeing each other in Dawn on the Coast. I just noticed this the other day, actually, and I was kind of surprised, because I didn't remember that she was dating him for that long. Of course, this is the BSC, so time is... uh, shall we say "fluid"?

What happened to the Trip-Man anyway? It seemed like they were dating for awhile, and then she's with Richard again and all of a sudden "oh my god they're getting married we're going to be sisters isn't that soo romantic!!!" It did always seem to me like she wanted to make the most of her newfound singleness before she settled down again with Richard the law partner.

I remember Dawn or Mary Anne saying in at least one chapter two "After dating for what seemed like forever, they got married." It seemed funny to me because it didn't seem like a long time at all.

So Sharon dated two men from her office at the same time? WTF? Awkward.

I agree, I always thought their dating-engagement-wedding happened REALLY fast. Especially since Sharon apparently dated the Trip-Man for 14 books.

One of the best parts of Amsterdam Amsterdam is when Mary Anne is worried that Sharon will try to use Tigger as a plunger.

Sharon's absentmindedness drove me insane, I seriously don't see how somebody could be that absentminded and be able to walk.
Mr. Schafer seemed a little weird to me. In "Babysitters Remember" he is staying out all night...wondered what he was doing then.

^I really think he cheated on Sharon. Everyone goes on about there being possible infidelity regarding Patrick and Elizabeth, but I think it def happened here. What would he be doing out all night?! Why did the hot dad have to be such a jerk?! Argh.

I agree, I think he totally cheated. The fact that he was hot doesn't help, because I'm sure he could get his fair share of women!

It probably pissed Sharon off that both kids went back to him.

If I was Sharon I would be pissed, but then again what does she expect, moving her kids all the way across country.

I don't understand why people get so angry at Sharon for moving her children. Kids move all the time! My family up and moved from North Dakota to Arizona (across the country, but in the opposite direction of Dawn) when me and my sister were 10 and our other sister was 14. No one thought it was so horrid of my mom to do that. I mean my parents didn't get divorced, but still... I don't see what's so bad about it. People move, it's a part of life. They still got to see their dad a LOT, it's not like Sharon was like "come on lets get away from him!! You can see him once a year!" or anything. Dawn flew back and forth constantly.

But most kids don't have to leave one of their parents behind when they move. Also, it seems like Sharon just kind of sprung it on them all of a sudden. I mean, now they not only have to deal with their parents' divorce, they also have to adjust to a completely new town, new state, different climate, new school, etc. It just seems mean to throw all of that on two young kids all at once.
And, yeah, they did get to visit their dad a lot, but that's not the same! He's still all the way across the country, it's not like he's across town so they can go see him whenever they want. I don't know, I just think it was really thoughtless of Sharon to do that. It seemed like she cared more about herself than her kids. Like, she couldn't handle being around Jack anymore so she ran away to her childhood town that was nice and familiar to her. But she did it because it was what she wanted, not because it was what was best for her kids.
Anyway! I don't actually hate Sharon for moving Dawn and Jeff across the country, but I do think it was irresponsible of her and I don't think she should've been surprised when both of them ended up back in California with their dad. I just think it was too much for them to deal with so soon after the divorce.
