Agreed, hitzpink. I think the main thing that bothered me about it was that Sharon didn't seem to care about easing them into the change, and wasn't exactly gentle when she gave them the news. Dawn said Sharon couldn't make her move, to which Sharon replied that yes, she could in fact make her, in kind of a cold way. It wouldn't have killed Sharon to stick around CA for a bit until her kids had gotten used to the idea of the divorce.

I agree with you booboo but also with hitzpink. I always thought it was pretty logical for Sharon to move back but she probably should have made the change more gradual. Maybe she thought a quick break would be best, though, so the shock came at the same time as the shock of the divorce- get all the trauma done. Maybe not the best solution but an attempt at one. As for Jack being better than Richard, I am weird but prefer Richard. He seems much nicer and like a better husband. Jack might be cuter but I'm actually more attracted to the Richard type. Maybe Sharon wanted to try her luck with this type too since the handsome "player" obviously didn't work out (cheater!

It would have been better for Sharon to just tough it out until the end of the school year. That way Dawn and Jeff would have had a few months to adjust to the divorce and wouldn't have had to deal with starting a new school in the middle of the year. I think it would've made things much easier on them.

^All right, I'll concede to the fact that she should've waited til the end of the school year. That would've made a lot more sense. But honestly, I think she did them a favor. Jack never seemed like he really gave a crap about his kids, anyway. I really can't stand him and it bugs me that he's so dang cute.

Agreeing again about this subject, Sotypical. I can totally see how Sharon thought she was doing the best thing. I don't think she was just doing it to be selfish. I can't get past Jack's personality (or my perception of it) to even think he's cute I'm like that where if I don't like a person's personality (and I admit to being pretty judgemental and having unbelievably high standards), I can not be even remotely attracted to them. And I am still single (and happily so), hmmm.....

Oh, I forgot there's also a picture of him in Here Comes the Bridesmaids, when he and Carol are getting married on the beach. I can't remember if he's also cute in that one.
On a side note I do remember Carol's dress being nothing great. I used to think, if it was her first marriage she'd want to look really special, wouldn't she? But the dress looked quite plain.

I really like Sharon and how she always stands up for Dawn and MA and tries so hard to have a relationship with MA. I loved it how she called them both her "daughters" in Dawn and the School Spirit War. I thought she was great in that one (though I thought she took the issue a little to far). Refreshing after thinking about books like Claudia and the Middle School Mystery to see a parent jump in and defend their kids. This is realistic, too, as I know from experience. My mom would have (and did) do anything to defend me and I know many other parents who are the same. I also love Sharon and Richard's relationship. They are so cute the way they balance each other out. I think that Sharon is really good to MA, too, especially with things like putting up with Tigger though she doesn't like cats. I would have said "NO WAY" to pets in the house.

Starngely enough a scatterbrained Sharonism took place in my house! I'd always thought that those kind of things don't happen in reality but I was very alarmed the other day when I found a set of keys in the bathroom sink

Luckily, the kids are too big to fit in the bread box.

I recently heard that when my grandma started wearing glasses, she once left them in the freezer. That immediately made me think of Sharon.

My boss put her purse in the fridge today. My thoughts also went straight to Sharon. Guess there are people who do that.
