Gray kittens are sooo adorable. I want one. When my orange tabby was a little kitten, I couldn't get enough of him. So I don't blame MA for her crazy Tigger love!

Tigger always sounded adorable to me. I've always wanted to get a kitten, but I'm horribly allergic to cats, so that's out. ^ I'm not allergic but I live in an apartment, and the rules don't allow you to have a cat or a dog.

That's pretty stringent. There are lots of both in the apt. complex we're in right now.

They aren't allowed in mine, unless you need a guide dog or something like that.

^That's the exception to every rule about animals, though.

Cats and dogs are allowed in my building, but dogs have to be 25 pounds or less. We also have to put down a deposit, and pay a small fee per month for each pet. I know not everyone follows the weight requirement when it comes to dogs, though. I've seen at least one Lab, and one Boxer, both of which are DEFINITELY over 25 pounds. It's really not uncommon to find apartment complexes around here that don't allow pets at all, or that just allow cats.

I lived in one apartment that was trying to switch to no pets. They let the old renters keep their cats (no dogs were allowed), but new applicants couldn't bring pets into the building. (This was when I was in 8th-11th grade.) My mom let me bring my cat and told the managers we were emergency pet sitting for a week, and we ended up keeping her there the whole time we lived there with no complaints. My mom's sneaky. My sister moves a lot and has to live in cat-ok buildings, so sometimes she winds up in not so great places. I think right now she has to pay an extra $10 a month for the animals.

For three years, I lived in one of the only apartment complexes in my community that allowed large dogs. That was one of the main reasons DH and I lived there because there wasn't much else to choose from, having an 80-pound Lab.
DH is very allergic to cats and can only be around them for 20 minutes or so before he has trouble breathing and gets hives. As a result, he can hardly visit his grandmother because she's got a cat and there is dander EVERYWHERE. I don't think she vacuums regularly.
I love kittens. It's too bad they can't all be like Tigger and stay a kitten forever!

Oh, I know. I have a picture of my cat with my mom when he was just a kitten, and he fits in the palm of her hand. CUTE.

I've told my DH that if ever we get a cat, its name will be Cat. Or Katze or Gato or Koshka- but "cat" in some form. (I don't like cats.)

Koshka for girl cats only. Boy cats are Kot. Otherwise it will have a gender identity crisis!

Tigger being a kitten for years really bugged me too! Why couldn't he grow up a little.

I was skimming through MA and the Memory Garden and there's a part with Mary Anne and Tigger that made me smile. MA gets a letter from Dawn, and she makes tea and cuddles with Tigger, and then they sit down and "share a cookie" while Mary Anne reads Dawn's letter. Awww.
