who liked Russ and Peaches? i thought they were such a cute couple, and i loved how Peaches was so different from Claudias mum, just like Claudia is different. it was pretty sad how Peaches had a miscarriage, but then they had Lynn. They were in a few books, and mentioned in some too. i cant remember all the titles. i remember that they came over to Claudias house, when she and Janine were having a party and Peaches was really mad, hahahhaah.

Oh, Russ and Peaches! They so deserve a mention. I really liked them. I've never read the one where Peaches has her miscarriage That is sad. But I love the book where baby Lynn is born. Claudia becomes a total pest and never leaves their house but they're still patient with her. I wonder if Janine has a middle name...they give their baby Claudia's middle name, I wonder if Janine felt left out. Maybe, if she did have one, they made that Lynn's middle name. That's what I like to imagine, anyway.

I liked them! I thought they were great. I love how in one book Peaches sends Claudia a tin of different flavoured popcorn. And Lynn sounds adorable.

I loved how Peaches took Claudia out for Pizza at 1 o'clock at night and got yelled at by Claud's mom.

I really liked how Peaches was so diggerent than the family members Claudia lived with. After Mimi was gone, there was at least ONE person in her family she could sort of relate to.

I loved how Peaches took Claudia out for Pizza at 1 o'clock at night and got yelled at by Claud's mom. Ha, yeah that was great scene. Only thing I didn't like was how she kept expecting Claudia to entertain her and when Claud had to do homework, Peaches was like "I don't have time to deal with a sulky teenager" I remember aln1982 suggested this, but it would have been an interesting book, dealing with the change in Claudia/Peaches relationship once baby Lynn came along.

I think having a crazy aunt is what helps Claudia make more sense in her family. Claud's and Janine's personalities seem to be just like Rioki and Peaches personalities. And how did their parents come up with their names? One is Japanese one is a fruit.

Oh, I think Peaches real name is Myoshi or something. She just got the name Peaches from college or from Russ (I forget). And the nickname stuck.

I also loved Russ and Peaches. They reminded me of my aunt and uncle before my aunt and uncle had kids. Hopefully Russ and Peaches didn't change after Lynn's birth. Though Lynn sounds like a sweet, cute baby. I got stuck with a combo of some of the charges' worst traits...

^ ugh, sorry to hear that, aln. I guess we only knew Lynn as a baby though, didn't we? I never read any books about her. Kids can change dramatically over the years, my adorable baby cousin is now a 10 yr old BRAT!!!

Yeah, I think it was Russ who gave Peaches her nickname.

Kids can change dramatically over the years, my adorable baby cousin is now a 10 yr old BRAT!!! Thanks. Actually, my cousin has changed for the better in the last 13 years. At least now she just makes Karen look like a modest, unconfident, quiet child. She did go through a "Betsy Sobakish" stage when she was a really frustrated child (wasn't it funny that I sprained your arm and almost broke it???). Didn't help matters that everyone gives her and her sister whatever they demand (she actually locked my grandma in a closet when she was about 4). Anyway, sorry for getting off topic. Back to Lynn, hope for Claud's sake she stayed cute and sweet (but with Janine's brains

She wasn't exactly "locked" in but my cousin told her to go inside and shut the door, which Grandma couldn't get open possibly because my cousin was holding it shut. My cousin's other grandma finally arrived and she got out. It was pretty funny but shows just what my grandma will do for my cousins. She does everything they tell her to. It would be interesting to see something like this in a BSC book.

^ That would not be good if Kristy had someone like that in her family. Charlie came to mind when I wrote that.
