I remembered the scene in Snowbound, but you asked about how they met, not what made them fall in love, so that's why I didn't mention that one

i don't think it's ever mentioned. they probably just hooked up randomly or something.

^ ;D They didn't even say that much about what made them "fall out of love." Just that he worked all of the time, she shopped too much, and they just fell out of love. I guess it can happen, though.... I am always just curious for more insight into the BSC families.

^ That's the impression I always got, too. But even after the divorce, I never thought she was hurting for $. I never saw, though, that she went on any big spending sprees after they moved back to Stoneybrook. She also didn't buy extravagently for Stacey.

Plus there seemed to be a lot of jealousy on her part about what ed could buy for stacey, like she thought he was buying stacey's love and maureen couldn't afford it.

I assumed she had won alimony after the divorce, plus child support, as she didn't get a job for quite some time. Her shopping habits didn't bother me, as I found them to be very realistic. But again, I'm one of those people who will buy shoes before I buy food. I'm assuming though, that that particular habit of mine will die when I have someone besides myself to look out for.

^ That's what I thought about hte alimony, too. I don't think that she really even had to get a job but kind of wanted to for something to do. As for shopping sprees, I don't even remember her going into NYC after the divorce (other than Stacey's Emergency). Did she?
