So what's the lawyer count at? Characters who are mentioned as lawyers at one point or another: Mr. Pike Mr. Spier Mr. Kishi Mr. McGill Mr. Perkins Mr. Delaney
Anyone else? What other overused occupations are there in Stoneybrook/Stamford?

When is Mr. Kishi mentioned to be a lawyer? I thought he was always an investment banker.
Mr. Kilbourne is a lawyer. Isn't Mr. Ramsey a lawyer, too?

Claudia said Mr. Kishi was a lawyer in her portrait book. Inconsistency or Claudia being Claudia, but it was said nonetheless.
I don't remember reading about what Mr. Ramsey actually does...I only have about 3 Jessi books.

I checked my Complete Guide and it doesn't list an occupation for Mr. Ramsey. But I'm positive Jessi mentioned he was a lawyer at some point.
Why aren't there any female lawyers in Stoneybrook? There's nothing but female doctors!

Because doctors are caregivers and lawyers are corrupt and Ann's oh so liberated. So that brings it to 8 lawyer daddies and counting?

For some reason I keep thinking that Mr. Ramsey is a chemical engineer. I can't tell you where I got that idea from though.

Ha. Fair point. I'm surprised a female civil rights lawyer never popped up. Ann M. could have centered an entire book around feminism.
I recently read The Secret Life Of Mary Anne Spier, where we learn Dr. Johansson is a pediatrician. That got a big WTF? from me, as I always assumed she was a general practitioner. I don't recall her ever being identified as a pediatrician before. Anyone else?

Seriously? I was just thinking that she must not have been because EVERY kid (at least in the #30s) went to Dr. Dellenkamp, including Charlotte. Did it say whether she worked in Stoneybrook or Stamford?

I was wrong. The reference to Dr. Johanssen being a pediatrician is in Claudia Kishi, Middle School Dropout. This is the passage:
She's still a doctor at Stoneybrook General. In this one, she's taking care of Jackie, who has a head injury.

Hmmm, I don't remember any mention made of Dr Johanssen's actual position in the medical field. She was just a doctor - but not Stacey's doctor, as we were often reminded. I had no idea she was supposed to be a pediatrician.

^ Speaking of Dr. Johansen, is there actually a Mr. Johansen? If so, what does he do?

Mr. Johanssen is mentioned a few times. I don't remember what he does though. I got the impression that it was a high powered job.

In MA to the Rescue, Dr. Johannsen works in the emergency room at the hospital. However, in another book where she's taking the day off, she says she's on call and they'll only call her in emergencies. So...she does general stuff, too? I guess Dr. Dellenkamp is a normal pediatrician for regular check ups, and Dr. Johanssen is more urgent care?
Everyone seems to have fancy jobs. I guess there's no such thing as blue-collar in Stoneybrook.
