I never thought much of the Pikes parenting, although it did seem Mal had alot on her plate. But i don't think they were bad. The Hills were so bad to Norman

My votes would have to be Mr. Nicholls and Mrs. Lowell. At least the BSC only sat for those families in one book.

^ Agree. But after rereading Terrible Truth, I think my vote has to be Mr. Nicholls because he was physically dangerous. Mrs. Lowell was a hazard to society, though, too. I think the Hills were pretty awful to Norman in some of the early books but didn't they try to change a little? What about the Addisons? Did they help create "Sean the Psycho"? ;D

^I'm sure they didn't help by shuffling him around to lessons to get private time. He may have felt neglected. I forgot about the Nicholls. I haven't read those books in a long time.

I'm reading Stacey and the Bad Girls, and I came across some parents. Since it's not technically a BSC job, Kristy won't consider them to be bad client parents. But this is the one where Dawn's cousin Amy--whom Dawn hasn't seen since Amy was a baby--comes to stay with the Schafer/Spiers. Amy's parents go off to Europe for three weeks while their only daughter is left under the care of strangers. (I'll say strangers here because Sharon and Mr. Porter (her cousin) haven't seen each other for years.) No wonder the poor kid felt abandoned.

^ That was terrible. I had forgotten about it but I really felt for poor Amy. I was lucky my parents never even left me to go on vacation but always took me along. Leaving me with strangers would have been traumatic.

How old was Amy? Wasn't she like 6? I honestly didn't feel too bad for her

Yes, Amy was just six. If Amy had previously met the Schafer/Spiers before, I wouldn't have minded it as much, but leaving your child with someone who've you haven't had contact with for over five years?! As Stacey would say, Puh-leeze.
My parents didn't even leave me alone for the evening, let alone for three weeks. I did have older sisters who'd watch over me (no, they didn't get paid) if they had to work late, but they never went out.

As Stacey would say, Puh-leeze. Word. Despite the Porters saying they wanted the families to "become closer" it really came off to me as them just wanting her out of the way so they could frolic freely in Europe.

^ Totally agree. Just reread and felt so sorry for Amy. That had to have been awful!

The Hills, definitely. Poor Norman. One time clients would be the Lowells and the Nicholls.

Mr Nichols. He was a jerk. Abused his son gave one a black eye, another he grabbed his arm. Probably abused his wife too, and maybe had problems with alochil

Mrs. Barrett and the Wilders are at the top of my list. The Addisons, too. I haven't read Claudia and the Terrible truth yet, so I can't comment on the abusive parent.
