ITA about Charlie. Sam, he wasn't serious often enough, and/or we didn't read much about him not acting goofy or over zealous for me to truly say. Aw, I do think when older David Michael might just be a great guy to date. Although, lol, there is a 5 year age difference (I'm older) between us. I think if Alan had truly made the effort to show other sides to himself, the way he momentarily did in Stacey's Movie and in the FF books, he might have been a possibility. I thought the Burger King lunch he arranged for Claudia was very sweet. The Charges...lol, I think Jeff Schafer would grow up quite hot. I've always been immediately more physically attracted anyway to guys with light blond hair and eyes, though lol most of the boys/men I've dated have had dark hair, . A MUCH older Jamie Newton might be super sweet to go out with, similar to Byron or David Michael... In Adam Pike's defense, he was (at first anyway) nice to Jenny in Mary Anne and Miss Priss, so he did have his gentler, sweeter moments.

i guess the reason that georgio is less creepy than charlie is that you know from the very beginning that georgio has the hots for claudia. but charlie acts all nice and easy going, and i never knew what his real motives were. plus, to be fair, georgio thought that claudia was 16, and charlie KNEW that he was hanging out with several thirteen year old girls.

I wouldn't date Logan, Toby, Ross Brown, Bart and Robert.
I'd probably date Sam or Charlie.

Why is Pete Black not mentioned?! Aww. Or Austin? I liked them both in Stacey's Ex-Best Friend. And I liked Pete in Mary Anne Misses Logan. I mentioned Austin! I know he's a very minor character, but he seemed like a normal, laid-back guy that they all liked. Forgot Pete on my list. His crying about Laine seemed like a strange inconsistency with everything else mentioned about him. I liked him in MA Misses Logan, too. But they change him too much to fit the needs of each book so I guess I'm undecided on him as well. Plus, isn't he the one who snaps girls' bras? Pete Black is just a walking contradiction. Like you said, he is molded to fit the needs of every book they decide to stick him in. Poor guy has way too many hobbies for a thirteen year old guy and has to get along with everyone in the whole school, plus act as President and be on the sports teams...etc, etc. However, I still really like him.

So many posts on this thread are hilarious! I especially love this one: Charlie he has a car, plus an almost dead rich stepfather Has anybody said Will from Summer Vacation? I love him. He seemed like a genuinely all around nice guy, I love when he was telling Claudia about his dead grandmother, he sounds really cute and I have a bit of a fetish for Asian guys. In general, not a lot of guys from the BSC books do it for me. If others are mentioning clients they think would be good catches in the future, can I cast a vote for Lenny Papadakis? If not, I'll be, uh, over there.

I would date: 1. Ben 2. Ethan 3. Sam 4. Josh (Claudia's 7th grade BF) 5. Austin 6. Cary
I wouldn't date: 1. Alan 2. Bart 3. Robert 4. Toby 5. Charlie 6. Pete

Terry Hoyt, Trevor Sandbourne, Charlie or Sam. Ducky if he were bi, although I would more want to be friends with him.
I probably wouldn't date Toby.

I think just about all the BSC characters I'd think of dating are the adorkable type. However, none of the girls really date my type. I mean, I have had fictional crushes, but ever since my first relationship, the ability to crush like that seems to have gone, even though we broke up months ago and I'm pretty much over it now. I had a major crush on one of my favourite Harry Potter characters...now, he's still cute and really likeable (post-school age and pre-Azkaban), but I can't find it in myself to like him that way. And that's how I feel about most of the boys in this series. If I was to have a crush, I'd probably age up a bunch of the clients and say which one I had a crush on at that age!

^i didn't intend this thread like that... I don't know if I've ever had a crush on a fictional character, actually. I meant it more like who would you want to date IF the characters were real.

Charlie had a lot of hidden baggage that I wouldn't want to deal with. I preferred Sam, too, until the Friends Forever book where where he was so needy and sad. (The one where they went to their dad's wedding.)
(I gave up and turned all the avatars off in my settings. I can't deal with all the wonky things the board keeps doing, so this way I don't see anything for anyone.)
