^Heh, fortunately I'm in an art program in a school where the art department is a bit of a joke:P I agree they can be just as bad though, but unfortunately my attraction to them is deeply, deeply primal. I see a slim-hipped fellow with longish hair in hipster finery and all logic goes out the window. Go figure, as Ms. McGill would say.
Ann/The Ghosties aren't too skilled at creating "perfect" men that happen to be interesting characters in their own right. If you don't give a person any flaws, how can they not be boring?

I tend to like whatever kind of guy i'm dating at the moment. My boyfriend now is very skinny, like so skinny that if he lived in the usa everyone would be like "omg anorexic or drug problem!" So now i like skinny boys. My boyfriend before him was more muscular and on the big-boned side yet short, so i liked short guys. I don't care what guys wear as long as they're not preppy/jock-y and don't care more about what they wear than i care about what i wear. This rules out many hipster guys. If you are wearing infertility-inducing girls' jeans, i am going to have to say "no." (Of course this is all theoretical as my boyfriend is right next to me snoring away!

Ah I wish I could adapt like that! Just something about that look (girls jeans included) drives me crazy. No idea why... stupid hormones.

I don't like Robert. Stacey vs. the BSC was the book that made me not like him. It annoyed me how he ate like a pig all the time and Stacey acted like it was so funny and cute. Like shoving big hunks of cheese in his mouth at Alex's house and ignoring the crackers that were supposed to go with them. It just seemed so lame, like the stereotypical sports-loving guy is always supposed to be shoveling in food. Grrr.

Yeah, why do they think that the boys doing things like stuffing their face, or (in some of the earlier books) mushing up their cafeteria food in their milk cartons is cute??!! Did any of you think that stuff was cool or cute? I never did, but that's because mushed up food makes me kind of sick to my stomach.

there's this girl who lived in my dorm freshmen year who had to smush all her food that was left when she was done before she throw it away.

It’s things like that which make Robert seem so immature and obnoxious to me and are the reasons that I don’t like him. I was glad that he and Stacey broke up. Just wish they would have gone about it differently – with her getting really mad at him for cheating or her dumping him. ;D

I have a T-shirt that says "I Dig Scrawny Pale Guys." I have that too! It's on a tank top, and I love the irony of wearing it to work out in the gym.
