I know he was mentioned again in a few other books but I was disappointed that Lewis was really only in Dawn's Big Date. I really liked him and was glad he wasn't impressed by the "new Dawn." He seemed like a good, down-to-earth guy and might have had potential for being one of my favorite BSC boyfriends. Any thoughts on Lewis?

He did seem like a cutie. If only he didn't live so darn far away.

It's really too bad that he doesn't appear again. I always thought it would be nice for Mary Anne, Dawn and Logan to visit him or something in another book. Instead, we never even hear of him again, there's no more letters, etc. Aww

I liked him, too. He seemed way older than 13, but that's nothing new in BSC world. I think being 5' 10" was part of what did it. How many 13 year old boys are really that tall? Not many in my middle school, that's for sure!

I just read Dawns Big Date and I agree with starrynight. 5'10?! Riiight. He seemed really nice though, even if his letters were insanely dorky.

Agree about Louis seeming older, but all of the BSC members do in most books. I actually pretend they are like 17 and 15 so things don't bug me (leaving 11 year olds home alone for a weekend for example). I thought Lewis's letters were sweet and weren't anywhere NEAR as dorky as the letters this boy used to write me when I was 13 - he actually addressed them to "Jenny" and signed them from "Forrest" (Gump - don't ask me why anyone would want to call himself Forest Gump ))

^That is absolutely hilarious!
I guess I shouldn't talk badly about his letters, they were nothing compared to Dawn's! He did seem like a nice kid, but he seemed far too mature for a 13 year old.

^ Agreed, I liked Lewis, it's a shame there's no further mention of him!

I think this is why I liked Lewis. ;D I wish the boys would have been like him when I was 13 (or now ;D)

Didn't Lewis & Logan have the same handwriting? I know that they both write in all caps, at least. This bugged me as a kid, because in school, everyone was required to write in cursive -- no way would assignments in all caps have been acceptable.

^ I never noticed the handwriting but will have to check. As for writing in all caps, I know a lot of boys who do this so it never seemed strange to me. It wasn't acceptable in school but they did it anyway, just not as much in school. ;D

ann often makes boys write in all caps for some reason. i remember terry in california did too. sam, however, wrote a lot like dawn.
lewis looks like he's 35 on the cover.

I never read Dawn's Big Date (mean older sister gave it away to a friend instead of letting me have it!) but I liked him in Chain Letter. His little comments were funny, and he seems like a good guy.

Yes, Lewis and Logan wrote a card to MA and Dawn in Chain letter. I really liked Lewis as well, he did seem a little too mature, but I liked the fact that he seemed like a down to earth guy.
