I love their name. That's all I love about them. This family needed the therapy they were supposed to start in MA and The Library Mystery. Weren't they also the ones that dropped the kids off at Claud's art class and Claud wasn't impressed? C thought they overscheduled their kids so they wouldn't have to deal with them. They seem very realistic so I guess that's what makes them stand out to me so much. It's not oftem you find a realistic portrayal the in BSC World.

Dont they move later on in the series. I always felt bad for the kids, especially Corrie. Sean was always so mean to her. I agree on the therapy. If there was one family in the series who really needed it, it was the Addisons.

They move in Abby and the Worst Kid ever. Agree about Corrie, she seemed like such a sweet girl. I liked her relationship with Claud and felt for her the way her parents just abandoned her and can't imagine what it must have been like to live with Sean. He seemed so angry towards her and always had such major issues. I was disappointed that the series never really resolved Sean's problems. I know this is realistic, but I still would have liked more "closure" before they moved. He seemed disturbed right to the very end.

Sean Addison struck me as the type of kid who will definitely grow up to be a serial killer. Seriously, that kid was majorly screwed up. His parents made me sooo mad. Why even have kids in the first place if you're just going to dump them off somewhere all the time and never spend any time with them? I felt bad for Corrie, I agree she seemed really sweet.

Didn't Sean play Old Macdonald on the tuba in Mallory and the Dream Horse... seems kind of random for a character like him!

^Yeah, I would expect Corrie, if anybody, to be playing the tuba and for Sean to be the one sitting off in a corner making fun of her.

Just finished Queen of Seventh Grade with the Addison subplot and found it very interesting. I thought Corrie was kind of a brat, though I did feel bad with her having to put up with Sean. Since the book said he and his family had all been in therapy, it seems that the therapy wasn’t working. It might just be my impression from the little bit of info the books give from the sitters’ point of view but it seems like Sean’s problems go beyond “being at a tough age” and not getting as much attention as he needs from his parents. He is such an angry kid that he almost frightened me with the way he was “growling”, etc. (Even though I’ve been known to throw some major temper tantrums myself ;D) I get the feeling that he has some major problems and can see how that could even start impacting Corrie. Can’t imagine having to deal with a brother like that. I’d almost be scared that he would hurt me.

I really enjoy the relationship between Corrie and Claudia in Sad Goodbye. They seem to have a lot in common. Reminds me of how I looked up to some of the older kids at the horse shows when I was younger and how special it made me feel when they took an interest in me. I think Corrie really needs that in her life and Claudia needs the self-esteem that comes from being able to help someone. Did they really develop this relationship in other books? I don’t remember them doing much with it, except a few times when Corrie showed up for art classes and things like that.

^ Thanks. That's on my reread list so now I look forward to reading more about the two of them together. ;D Isn't Corrie also in the one where Abby gets stuck teaching the art class? Is that Claudia and the Mystery in the Painting?

I like Corrie Addison. She's one of my favorite clients, although I can't say the same of her brother.
