^Haha! ;D Maybe that's why Patrick left - he didn't have the right name. ;D LOL! ;D That totally made me laugh!

^ Or they could have just changed Patrick to John in later books like the Edie-to-Elizabeth thing.

^ ;D I never could figure out that change. How many books was she Edie in? I really liked the whole "high school sweetheart" storyline with Sharon and Richard. It was one of the first storylines in the series that I really started following. ;D

I always thought Edie was just a nickname for Elizabeth. That's what we call my cousin. But I only noticed it in Kristy's Great Idea.

^ I assumed it was a nickname, too, but wondered why it was never used except in one book (at least I think there was just the one book ;D)

^ Oh yeah, I forgot about that. You're probably right. I also remember that it was only used in one book. I heard (I think from my sister) that Edie just was too uncommon of a name to resonate with readers, so they changed it to one that the readers would be more familiar with. It sounds like hogwash but plausible. I dunno.

Sharon and Richard's early relationship reminds me of Romeo and Juliet.

Good thing they didn't end up like Romeo and Juliet did. ;D Definitely. ;D I don't even want to think of that.... I never made that connection before but it is an interesting one.

I wouldn't exactly say he was cheap, but he might very well have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

^ ;D OCD tendencies are more like it. ;D Didn't Logan describe Richard and Sharon as the Odd Couple? That is definitely accurate. ;D
