In Kristy's Portrait their is an illustration of Watson giving Kristy a baseball glove and at the bottom of the page Kristy writes "A gift from a father I can trust." ;D That is not only one of my favorite Watson/Kristy moments but one of my favorite BSC moments. I love the Kristy/Watson relationship.

I just re-read Babysitters at Shadow Lake and I loved the fact at the end, Watson refers to Kristy as his daughter in his letter to Faith and Pearson and Kristy is really touched. Then she writes him the note back and signs it your daughter.
I think the books dealt with stepfathers in a very honest way. Both Dawn and Kristy found it hard to come to terms with their mother's remarriages and I was so happy it wasn't just a 'new happy families' storylines.

I always thought that it was dealt with fairly realistically as well. It showed all the emotions the girls went through with new family situations.

^ Agree. I also (as I think I've mentioned before ;D) really liked it that they had so many good stepparents - gives kids hope, I think.

A bit off topic, but is there a thread for Richard Spier? I thought I saw one earlier, but now I can't find it..

I'm liking the Watson-Kristy dynamic more now that I'm older. It's not that I didn't like it before; I just didn't think about it. I love how Watson showed an interest in the Thomas kids, and made an effort with them, but never went over the top in trying to bond with them.

^ I liked that, too. He seemed to really recognize boundries and I think this helped Kristy warm up to him faster than she would have if she thought he was trying to bond too quickly.

Yeah, he was very respectful of her and her brothers' needs.

Yeah, he was very respectful of her and her brothers' needs. I agree too. I dunno. But it seems that since he's been in business for a while (having reached executive), he knows how to deal with people and his people-skills helped him with these new relationships? I dunno.
