I was in Borders recently and didn't see it, but maybe you'd have luck at yours, or B&N.

I got mine last week at Chapters and I love it. While Claudia & Mean Janine isn't one of my favourite BSC books, I realllly like the graphic novel version of it. I don't want to get too spoiler-y but Raina adds a few details from the missing books (i.e., books 2, 5 & 6), which gives it a nice, rounded-out feeling. The only thing I don't like about it is that it makes me want to see more graphic novels, and sadly that's not happening.

I'd love to see a graphic novel version of Dawn and the Impossible Three or the Ghost at Dawn's House. But, unfortunately, that's not going to happen. To quote Karen, boo and bullfrogs.

Is Mallory in any of the graphic novels? I forget when the Pikes really came onto the scene. (Wait. They were in the Impossible Three book when Dawn scolded Mal for stealing Marnie's brownie. Hee, that's never not funny.) I just bet Mallory would look cute drawn out as a cartoon. Too bad she doesn't get a book.

You can see Mal in the MA Saves the Day graphic novel. In the chapter when MA and Kristy are sitting for the Pikes and they play Telephone because they're not speaking to each other.

She's also in Claudia & Mean Janine, at the playgroup. She's adorable as a cartoon!

I got the copy of this that I ordered for my library's collection! It just came yesterday. I decided to wait until it was processed and ready to go out on the shelves before sneaking a peek at it. I gave it to the clerk who does the processing and put a note on it to please give it back to me when it's ready to go! I'm such a dork; when I got in to work yesterday and saw it on my desk with the other graphic novels that had come in I picked it up, hugged it, and squealed, "IT'S HERE!"

I finally read this one, and it was my least favorite of the graphic novels. I didn't like how there were so many elements from other books crammed into it. The Kristy/Dawn scene in the barn felt particularly out of place, even though I usually enjoy reading about them bonding. The beginning scene with the storm also made me wish they'd done "Phantom Phone Calls." I DID like the scene near the end where Mimi is talking to Claudia on the porch about time and change. That exactly how I pictured it.

I just finished reading this. I loved it! But I agree with starrynight about not liking things from other books being inserted into this one. I didn't like the Kristy/Dawn scene being in this book, and I also didn't like that the book ended with them deciding to ask Mallory to join the BSC. I guess they didn't want to end it the way the regular book did with MA and Stacey getting hired to be mother's helpers, because it would kind of leave it hanging there, and there won't be any more graphic versions to show it happening later.
Parts of this that I loved: the playgroup scenes were almost exactly as I pictured them in my head, also the hospital scenes and the scene where Mary Anne "sits" with Mimi were just like I imagined them.
I wish there were going to be more of these!

Okay... so I'm the biggest idiot ever... I didn't realise the books were different... I just assumed they threw some drawings in there. Man... I'm dumb! *heads off to ebay*

^ You're not dumb. The first three graphic novels DID stick pretty close to the books they were based on. It was only this last one that REALLY deviated from the original material.

Just read this! Agree that stuff from other books being inserted was kind of weird. But overall I enjoyed it. Jamie, Lucy, and Andrew were super, super cute. The play group scenes were funny (Louie's bath!) I like that we see Claudia's sandals, the ones that lace up her legs, at Lucy's christening. The making of a graphic novel in the back was a nice touch as well.
