There is a thread for underused clients; how about one for overused? Are there any clients you would have liked to see less of in the series?
Personally, I would have liked to see less of the Thomas-Brewer clan and also the Pikes. They got used a LOT since they were the families of two club members, but I wouldn't have minded them being used less often.

Definitely the Pikes. Especially in the books written by Peter Lerangis.

The Pikes and their usual "OMG THERE'S SEVEN OF THEM!" intro. I like the Pikes, but too much of anything is never good! There's always too much of Claire's tantrums and the triplets being jerks to Nicky and Vanessa rhyming.

I like reading about the Pikes until they do too many ridiculous huge projects/talent shows in a row. Then they annoy and/or bore me.

I hate the Thomas/Brewer chapters. Don't ask me why, but they annoy me. I think the repetitivness of Ben Brewer/BooBoo/Let's All Come In/Morbidda Destiny drives me insane.
Pikes were definately used too much, but I do like them. The Newtons were possibly used too much at the beginning of the series, but they did make up and add to a few plot lines back then. Jamie is too adorable though.

Elvira the goat. Those stories were completely repetitive.
The Barrett/DeWitt kids. I realize that there were so many club members that sometimes the only way to get them all in a book was to give two a cameo chapter with the big families.

There were a lot of PIke stories. I got sick of them after awhile. Other than that, there aren't too many clients that I think are overused. A lot of them are underused.

I hated anything that had to do with that goat. Lamest subplots ever!
I see others feel the same way about the Pikes. I got tired of all the rhyming and silly-billy-goo-goo-ing, talent shows, Pike Olympics, etc. Kind of the same thing with the Thomas-Brewer kids; I got sick of reading about Let's All Come In. It sounded so boring, and they always made a point of saying how Karen had to force everyone to play it because no one liked it that much. Plus I got bored with the freaking out over Ben Brewer and Morbidda Destiny, because it was done too many times.
I have been trying to think of other clients that seem overused, and I'm not coming up with a lot. I don't think the Rodowskys got used excessively, but making a huge deal of Jackie being a walking disaster was a trait that was overused. Instead of just one or two accidents happening during a sitting job, it was always a string of mishaps one right after the other. It got to be too much after awhile.

Maybe Charlotte was overused a bit?

Definitely the Pikes and the Thomas-Brewers. I prefer to read about the Pikes. For some reason the T-B's just get on my nerves. And I agree with Jackie's accident proneness being overused to death. The poor kid probably just had bad coordination!

I agree that both the Pikes and the Thomas-Brewers were used too much. If I had to pick one that I got the most sick of, I think it would be the Thomas-Brewers.

I agree with the Thomas-Brewer fatigue. I can't stand Karen to begin with, so the tedium of Let's All Come In and the general redonkulousness of the house gets on my nerves.
I also feel like Haley Braddock is overused. Maybe just because I don't like her.

I'd have to agree with everyone who says the Thomas-Brewers and the Pikes were overused. At least one of those two families gets baby-sat for in practically every single book. (And sometimes you get both in one book...sigh.) I don't particularly like either family, so I find this tedious. Between the two, I supposed I'd rather read about the Pikes, since most of the Thomas-Brewers annoy me. And I don't like that whoever sits for them tends to ignore David Michael in favour of Karen, Andrew and Emily Michelle. I like the rare chapters where whoever's sitting is only looking after David Michael and Emily. It's nice having a break from Karen and her "wild imagination." Oh, and toshemeup, I love that you said "redonkulousness." I use that word too! ;D

At least with the Pikes they rotate the sitters pretty well. With the Thomas-Brewers I feel like it's Kristy 9 out of 10 times.

I agree with this totally! Especially because for the longest time Karen and Andrew were only at Watson's house every other weekend, but they always ended up getting sat for. Hey, Watson, how about spending some TIME with your kids, instead of constantly going out to look for birdbaths and wall sconces?
