The Brewers and the Pikes definitely! I wouldn't have minded those families being in the spotlight if there was more of a variety. For example, Kristy is always babysitting Karen and Andrew and they do the same stuff all the time. As for the Pikes, they're always doing plays and stuff like that.
In the early books, the Perkins girls and Jamie Newton were used a lot but they seem to kind of disappear in the later books. I liked those kids a lot!

The Pikes were overused, though usually pretty entertaining, and to a lesser degree (but kind of with worse results) so were the Barrett-DeWitts.
The Brewer-Thomases didn't seem to reach that level. One thing I really liked about them was the kind-of irony that Karen and David Michael are pretty different and yet both are best friends with the neighboring sibling Papadakises.
