These were Kristy's cousins, who were part of the big group in "Kristy's Big Day", and they were also the ones who's house burned down, or some other disaster. They had to stay with Karen's big house family in a LS book, and clinged to her all the time, because they felt sorry for her. I remember Karen "escaping" to hide at Hannie's. What LS book was that? I liked those kids, but the girls seemed kind of annoying. I liked the idea of Karen having relatives who "take over", as she put it, and thought it was funny that Karen thought someone was annoying, instead of vice versa. I can relate to that.

I had no idea that those cousins made another appearance! I might have to read that LS book.

There's an illustration of Grace and Ashley in that LS book -- I always thought they looked really cute.

They must be Elizabeth's neices and nephews.

^^Yeah.
I'm not a big fan of the LS books, so I didn't know they were in another book either. I think they were here sister's kids. I doubt any of Patrick's family would have come to Elizabeth's wedding. Which leads to an interesting question--did Patrick have any siblings, and did the Thomas kids ever keep in touch with his side of the family?

I don't know of any mention of any cousins from Patrick's side, no.
Honestly, shouldn't there be a word for "nieces and nephews", collectively?

You'd think, but I never heard of one. It is quite a mouthful when I'm referring to my own.

There should also be separate words for male cousins and female cousins. German has the distinction.

Peter, Grace, and Ashley are all fairly common names, but I haven't heard Berk as a name before...I wonder if it's short for anything. (Berkeley? Berkshire?)

My guess would be Berkley, especially if their father is Elizabeth's brother and therefore their mother could have any old last name. That could be it. (Do we know Elizabeth's maiden name?)

Which book did they actually mention Nannie's real name? And Taylor? Any relation to Bart? Heh-heh.

^^Thanks, booboo. That explains why I never heard it before. The only LS book I've read was Karen's Rollerskates.
