What I meant was a book of the actual trip, where you could read what Karen and her family did in Hawaii. In Kristy's Worst Idea, I remember Kristy saying something along the lines of them spending a lot of time at the beach.
I somehow got confused and thought there was an actual book of the trip to Hawaii before coming to my senses and realizing that there's no actual book about Karen's trip to Hawaii. Sorry for confusing you, booboobrewer.

I really don't have much to say on this book except I didn't like either the main (joke) plot or the gymnastic subplot, I am not a fan of either really, particularly jokes or pranks. What I did come on here to say that was kind of cool to realize last night is the dedication for this book from Ann is to Elisa from the Lisa Library. That was a BSC reference in daily life of sorts goes with my thread about us donating a birthday book for Afton. :)It was also cool because finally, I recognized (a non Perkins) dedication name.

The only thing I remember from this book is Karen's Big House family pranking her and getting her good. She enters them in a "Beautiful Families" contest and then Elizabeth gets a co-worker to come over as the "judge" when the house is a mess and Karen's the only one dressed up. I remember her being especially mad at Sam because he promised he'd wear a tuxedo and then didn't!

This may have been the first book that kicked off my BSC craze when I was learning to read so I have fond memories. I love the cover (although I think Karen looks older than a 7 year old), the practical jokes were fun and it was a great introduction to the big family. They went to so much trouble to trick Karen but she deserved it haha.
