I can't blame Karen for telling Nancy Natalie's secret, as I'm sure I've done it before. But it goes to show how quickly stuff spreads.

I really have to reread this book, because I can't even remember what Natalie's secret was!

I think Natalie had to go to speech class for a lisp or something and she didn't want her classmates to know. I would never trust Karen with any secret.

I just got finished reading Karen's secret. I honestly wouldn't trust Karen with any secret either. I just got finised reading a huge collection of ls books and I can say that this is one of my favories by far.

I agree Karen isn't trustworthy as a secret keeper. Her theory that all the musketeers should know something one knows, just shows this

Has anyone else read this book lately? Was anyone else surprised at how Leslie was so upset over Natalie? So much so that she spends half of her allowance buying her a fancy get well card? She also bursts out into tears during class over Natalie. I would love to hear the back story to this. Maybe Natalie and Jannie were friends before Pamela came around?

^In movies or tv there's always one semi-sweet girl in the mean girl crowd that is still nice to the dorky kids.

she's also kind of karen's enemy, so maybe she's siding with natalie just because it was karen who let out the secret.

Karen and Natalie were never enemies, Karen only felt like she was better than her...when she wasn't cause Natalie appeared awkward.

The subplot in this book is weird. Nancy is kind of a baby sometimes. Did she really think that hiding her mother's suitcase and erasing her doctor's appointment from the calendar would make her mom not have the baby? That sounds like the thought process of a child a lot younger than 7/8.

That sounds like the thought process of a child a lot younger than 7/8. THAT'S where that subplot was!! I was laying awake last night and that subplot randomly crept into my head....I couldn't remember for the life of me which book it was. Makes sense that it was this one though, I reread this eighteen squagillion times for some reason.
