The paper about Mr. Papadakis' spare tire, the cheap-o bracelet and the neigbhours job loss (not so much that) would have made me laugh.

No delivering notes and papers to neighbors should be right up there with no spying on the neighbors!

^ I personally thought it was cuter/more hilarious with all of the "mess ups".

I have to agree about the articles being funny. But I did feel bad for the Billings when Karen, Hannie and Nancy revealed that Mr. Billings lost his job. How embarrassing.

I have to say that I agree that Mr. Billings' secret was one of the worst. The spare tire thing, for example, wasn't as bad -- to me -- because that's something that you can obviously see. And loose! You can always get another job but it's not always as easy!

This was fun book to read. I got this at the book store in Frankenmuth. The lady, remembers me from the last time. Knows, I'm collecting Little Sister books.

I just finished reading Judy Blume's "Otherwise Known as Sheila The Great" and I wonder if some of the ideas were drawn from there? In it, Sheila ends up making a newspaper at camp basically doing the exact same thing as Karen. Only she doesn't get in trouble for it and the paper only lasts one issue because it was too hard for her to make alone (she uses some ancient typing machine or something).

Oh, doesn't Sheila use a mimeograph machine and get purple splotches all over hers? I loved that book but haven't read it in years.
I think my favorite issue of the 3M Gazette was the one where they wrote tabloid-inspired stories, but Charlie's Five-Dollar Bracelet is the best article.

^ Yes, you're right! Sheila does use an old mimeograph machine.

I was retread this again. It was fun rereading it. 59 lb. goldfish. Wouldn't the goldfish break the aquarium from being that big?
$5.00 bracelet. That had me laughing the first time, I read it. The spare tire. The first time I read it, I imagine Mr. Papadakis having a spare tire around his waist. Lol.

Haha, I call my dad by his first name when he’s annoying me. He doesn’t like it.
