This one always stands out as one of my favorites. Take Your Daughter to Work Day sounded like fun and made me think about how I would go spend time with my dad in his office in Chicago when I was little (he does computer work for a law firm). The food descriptions were great and I liked the Wacky Cracky Bubble Gum commercial Karen and her class got to be in thanks to Elizabeth . Really? I find this Take Your Daughter To Work sexist and an out of date concept.

When I was little and this kind of stuff was happening in my circles, it was to show girls jobs that school maybe didn't get them thinking about and counteract some messaging we've all heard about where women belong. Boys do it now too (so it's just Take Your Child to Work Day) but I see the girls only version more as an attempt to level the playing field than an extra perk for girls.
