What are your thoughts on David Michael? to me He sounded very Cute in the first 4 BSC Books But after that he sorta started acting like a brat. (now that i think about it he started acting like a brat after Elizabeth and Watson got Married) I ecsepecialy don't care for him in the Ls Books What do you think of him?

David Michael is pretty whiny and uninteresting in BSC/LS.

I never thought that The T-B's were Spoiled by Watson, he always make the kids pay half for there stuff.. He did get more whiny after Louie Died, However he got Shannon Right after that so i don't understand why that would make him so whiny.

In the LS books he had school problems and often seemed to feel inferior to smarty-pants Karen. That might make me a bit whiny too.

He's whiny from KGI. Kristy calls him a "champion whiner."

I prefer him over Karen in the LS books. I liked him in Kristy's Great Idea, though it didn't really feature much of him, but the rest of the books...he seemed really whiny, but, I like DM. I loved how he loved Louie so much, and the part in Kristy and the Snobs, where he slept with Louie really touched me.

I always liked David Michael...judging from his behavior in BSC and his interactions with Karen in LS, he seemed like a pretty normal, realistic kid.

I always liked David Michael as well. He was probably the most normal "little brother" type in the series. He was a bit whiny, but I think that had a lot to do with the feeling of inferiority. Think about it - he doesn't seem to have too many friends, where Karen has tons. He is always being compared to Karen, who I think is a bigger brat than David Michael ever thought about being, and he's so much younger than his brothers. I don't think that David Michael ever felt like he fit, if you know what I mean.

^ Good Point! * Feels Bad For DM* I never thought about it like that. Poor David Michael He Never Got to share his point of view so we don't know his story, maybe he Just feels Like no one pays attention to him, or has enough time for him and he is so whiny so he will get some attention.

^ Yeah, sometimes kids whine and act like brats *cough*Karen*cough* for attention *cough, cough, cough*KarenBrewer*cough, cough* . I think DM's very realistic too, and compared to what he went through, at such a young age, I think his whining's just some small thing. I don't think he should be spoiled, though, just because of that, and good thing he isn't. There's someone I know who's so spoiled, though her life's a lot better than his. *cough, cough, cough, cough* KAREN *cough, cough, cough* and she abuses her privileges.

Do you think he'd ever want to go to Stoneybrook Academy along with Karen, or is he content to be in PS?

I think he'd probably want to stay in SES, since his friends go there, especially the ones from before the move across town. I like David Michael He seemed like one of the more realistic charges to me, too.

Switching schools was actually a plot in a Little Sister book. Elizabeth and Watson decided David Michael would do better at Karen's school so they applied to have him transferred without discussing it with him first. He and Karen were both very much against it (for different reasons) and they eventually got the parents to let him stay at his own school.

Which LS book is it in? That sounds like an interesting plot.
