^ Any favorite Friends Forever? Mine's Graduation Day. The biggest complaint I have (right now. I have to reread the book) about that book is Claudia failing her science exam and having to go to summer school. I think she couldn't walk down in the graduation ceremony because of that. I dunno why but I enjoyed Kristy Power! I liked Merrie standing up to her mother. Stacey's Problem also happened to be another favorite.

I sometimes feel like the Friends Forever (esp. later ones) were written as Ann already knew the series was going to be canceled. I mean, some references are just so edgy (for the BSC, that is). Ed and Samantha want to move in together- and they're NOT MARRIED! Stacey says that she might have a kid while NOT MARRIED! Jessi says SEXUAL ORIENTATION!!! Mary Anne, Dawn, and Sunny see a guy in a PROM DRESS! Kristy and Abby have BOYS - boys! - in their hotel room and play SWEAR WORD SCRABBLE!!! That wasn't so "edgy"...it was actually GREAT! I think it was a sign that Ann was ready for them to move onto high school very soon. I can totally see the BSC playing dirty word scrabble at their high school sleepovers. And I can completely see several of the BSC as adults having kids while unmarried. And the BSC definitely learns about sexual orientation in high school, if they hadn't in middle school. High school opens doors and walls to the great, big diverse universe out there. And I can not see any of the BSC staying stuck in Stoneybrook after high school...they'd want to explore the world, much as they love their folks and much as they'd loved Stoneybrook growing up.

I get what you’re saying; when you’re young you feel “trapped” in your town, but I see at least a couple of them eventually wanting to come back and settle down with their family in Stoneybrook.

Some of them might way later on. In fact, in my timeline, a few of the charges resettle back in Stoneybrook, including Susan Felder. I have it where she is able to live in her own place and she buys out her parents' Stoneybrook house when they retire and today is living there while composing music for a living. And NYC is just a stone's throw away from Stoneybrook...I see Mary Anne settling there and raising her family there while visiting Stoneybrook frequently. I can see all the BSC having many reunions in the old town as they affectionately call Stoneybrook.

I can see that too. Like Stacey I can see never coming back but Mary Anne or Kristy? Sure they have that sense of community in stoneybrook.

Right? I feel like Mary Anne is close enough to Richard and Sharon (maybe) to feel that pull and Kristy surely with her large family. I can definitely picture Stacey not wanting to leave her life in the city but being the dutiful daughter and visiting Maureen often. They had a nice relationship.

That I can totally see. Maureen loves Stoneybrook after all and didn’t want to leave. Stacey would come back and visit her mom often. Dawn I can see never coming back, I mean in one of the California diaries books she outright says she doesn’t miss stoneybrook. Mallory is already gone and I feel like she wouldn’t come back.
Mary Anne and Kristy have enough ties and family and friends to Stoneybrook where they’d come back. Probably Claudia too if not nearby like Stamford or NYC.

She has as much community sense and loyalty as Kristy and Mary Anne. And don't forget how close Stacey is to her mum as well. I cannot ever see Stacey not visiting her mum in Stoneybrook...give her more credit. I see all of the original BSC ladies living in other cities in adulthood, but visting the "old town" every so often. Mary Anne would be a New York City resident all the way, but would hop on the train with her kids every so often and visit her folks, especially for holidays and for BSC reunions. I definitely see the BSC ladies having holiday reunions every so often...perhaps BSC Auld Lang Syne reunions some Hanukkah/Christmas seasons.

Harvard or MIT which is close by too (at least I’m pretty sure).

And living her best life, being written up in journals and magazines, and winning awards (and Claudia finds a reason not to go, I.e. being out of state lol)

I can definitely picture Stacey not wanting to leave her life in the city but being the dutiful daughter and visiting Maureen often. They had a nice relationship. I actually see Stacey and Mallory living in Boston as an adult. 😁😁😁 But both would return to the old town to see family and friends that would be there at the time. I can actually see Kristy visiting to see Susan Feldman, who I see living in Stoneybrook. 😀😀😀 That I can totally see. Maureen loves Stoneybrook after all and didn't want to leave. Stacey would come back and visit her mom often. Definitely! Dawn I can see never coming back, I mean in one of the California diaries books she outright says she doesn't miss Stoneybrook. I think Dawn, despite not missing Stoneybrook too much, would visit her mum and stepdad from time to time as well as return for BSC reunions. In her diary, it was Stoneybrook that she didn't miss too much...not her family...she never shunned or rejected her Stoneybrook friends or family. Mallory is already gone and I feel like she wouldn't come back. I actually see Mallory living near Stacey in Boston and them seeing each other often and being in a book club with several others together. But I highly doubt Mal would completely shun her family and friends who are in Stoneybrook. She'd visit her folks and for BSC reunions. Mary Anne and Kristy have enough ties and family and friends to Stoneybrook where they'd come back. All of them have strong ties where they'd periodically return to Stoneybrook. Definitely there would be periodic Christmas/Hanukkah Auld Lang Syne reunions every few years in addition to visits every few months. The BSC had a strong, beautiful friendship and they were a legacy around most of Stoneybrook. I would even say that those Stoneybrookers who never even met the BSC know of them. 😀😀😀 Probably Claudia too if not nearby like Stamford or NYC. I see Claud and Kristy living in the midwest, but they definitely would find time out of their busy schedules to periodically visit the old town. And I actually see Stacey at MIT and her getting a doctorate or a PhD. Stacey's most definitely PhD/doctorate degree material.
