Stacey and the Boyfriend Trap is the worst Friends Forever book. It's absolutely ridiculous the way every guy from Stacey's past descends upon SMS on the same night. And they all want Stacey. I'm shocked Pierre and the old guy from European Vacation didn't make an appearance. I think the whole purpose of the book was for the ghostwriters to have a laugh about how many times Stacey's been in LUV.
I love how Stacey breaks up with Jeremy and gets back together with Ethan all in the same night. Girl should be evaluating why she can't be without a boy for five seconds.
Very likely.

I have 11 of the first 12 in the FF series (missing Stacey's Problem). How many were there, anyway?
I'm currently reading them at the moment, halfway through Claudia and the Friendship Feud.
I like these ones for the lack of baby-sitting subplots and their many juicy moments. Much as I hate the eye-rollingly lame fight over Jeremy, I did like the smackdown Claud and Stace gave each other in Stacey vs. Claudia. And I'm enjoying reading about Claudia's friendship with Erica.
These books yet again show how the times have changed since the BSC began. Patrick and Zoey were living together before marriage! zomg!
Speaking of which, that plotline seemed unlikely. I've known of fathers who walked out on their kids (like my DH's father) and there's no way they'd bother to invite them to a wedding seven yrs later - after having virtually no contact the entire time.
BUT! Further evidence of Elizabeth's infidelity. WHY did Patrick not acknowledge David Michael even ONCE?! It was like the kid didn't exist. And when Charlie blew up at Patrick for walking out, Patrick yelled something about not really having a choice and the kids not knowing the full story. Of course, he was shot down in seconds by all three Thomas kids who screamed at him for "blaming Mom" but I really wanted to know what Patrick was going to say. THE PLOT THICKENS!

^ There were 12 regular books and two special editions, so 14.

OOOhhh, I like that theory. Hmmm... But I thought the FF series weren't BAD...okay, they were pretty boring. The whole series was Stacey and Claudia fighting, and Mary Anne going through "Changes". Blah on that! Although, i did enjoy the one where Kristy's dad got remarried and Graduation Day

Are these books supposed to be for older kids than the regular BSC ones?
I got my first one today, and the print is large. It's jarring. I feel like I'm reading a Little Sister book.

^ I don't like the font, personally. It's not the traditional BSC.

I'm sorry, but does anyone else think Claudia looks like she needs to lay off the Mallomars on the covers of these books?

Actually, I take it back. It's just Graduation Day where her face looks kind of puffy.

I'm starting my first FF book (#4, Claudia and the Friendship Feud). Can somebody give me a quick rundown on what happened to the rest of the members? Like Abby and Jessi...and I guess the associate members are gone too?
Also, how ironic is it that the series called Friends Forever is mainly about two characters not being friends?

I think Abby & Logan wanted to concentrate on their sports, and Jessi got into a more intense ballet class that met, like, every day. Just the typical excuses they always had, really.
I jsut won almost teh whole series on ebay (i think i'm missing about two) so I'm looking forward to reading them all in order...I think I read them all in a jumble last time

^Thanks. I feel like I'm don't have every side of the story, but what's so great about Jeremy anyway? Sounds like he wants to have his cake and eat it, too. And what's with Stacey? Was she projecting herself onto Claud? Oh if I can take the guy she likes, she can do it too? You know, there seemed to be something between Claudia and Ethan in SM4, maybe she should go after him.

Agreed. I think he enjoyed the idea of two girls fighting over him. I think he liked knowing he had the power to break up their friendship.

^ ITA about Jeremy. I couldn't stand him. Seemed like such an arrogant prick. Also way too possessive and devoted, considering he was only 13. Remember his hissy fit when he found out Stacey was apparently still seeing Ethan?
